GOV UBA SANI IS ARCHITECT OF KADUNA'S RENAISSANCE - Hon Yahaya Ishaq

*Politician and businessman, Honorable Yahaya Ishaq has described Governor Uba Sani as the architect of Kaduna's renaissance, having made strong multi-sectoral impact with projects and empowerment schemes. He spoke to newsmen in Kaduna. Excerpts:*

*Hon Ishaq, can you share with us the impact of Gov Uba Sani's leadership on religious harmony in Kaduna State?*

Absolutely! Governor Uba Sani has worked tirelessly to revive unity among Muslims and Christians in Kaduna. Today, we see religious leaders and followers enjoying harmonious relationships, a testament to his commitment to peace and understanding. This has led to a significant reduction in religious conflicts and a more cohesive society.

*That's great to hear. What about the crisis between Northern and Southern Kaduna? Has there been any progress?*

Yes, the crisis has ended, and Zones one, two and three are now closer than ever. Governor Uba Sani's efforts have fostered love and brotherhood among the people, a remarkable achievement. He has brought leaders from both zones together, promoting dialogue and understanding.

*Education is a critical sector. How has Governor Uba Sani's administration impacted education in Kaduna?*

Well, the governor has made education more accessible and affordable for all. Discrimination in the education sector has ended, and children from poor homes now have equal access to quality education. Tuition fees in public schools have been significantly reduced, making education more affordable. This has led to an increase in enrollment and a more educated population.

*That's a significant achievement. What about rural development? How has Governor Uba Sani's administration impacted rural communities?*

Rural communities are now enjoying inclusion and empowerment under Governor Uba Sani. Road networks are being massively developed, connecting farmers and villages after years of disconnection. This has improved communication, trade, and economic opportunities. Rural folk can now access markets, healthcare, and other essential services easily.

*We understand that commercial motorcyclists, known as Keke NAPEP, faced challenges in the past. How has Governor Uba Sani's administration addressed this?*

Yes, Keke NAPEP riders can now ply Ahmadu Bello and drop passengers at the Central market without paying the exorbitant N20,000 fee; infact they no longer pay a dime for plying that road. This has eased transportation challenges for many, especially the poor and vulnerable.

*Finally, how has Governor Uba Sani's administration supported poor rural folks, in your view?*

Unlike before, many poor rural folks now have bank accounts and have received financial support for their small-scale businesses. This has addressed their long-standing complaints about government neglect and lack of access to grants, roads, healthcare, and other essential services. They can now access credit facilities, training, and markets, empowering them to improve their livelihoods.

The only thing that made me like sani a little is how he dealt with that short devil.
Apart from that, nothing.
