I Condemn in strong terms, the incessant attacks on security personnels and civilians in Abia, particularly in Aba by criminal elements.

This act is not just barbaric, but insensitive, callous, premeditated and nefarious in the circumstances.

Apart from Enyimba city's obvious historical and commercial antecedents in Nigeria, as well as it's contribution to the State and National economy, it is worthwhile to state that it is the commercial hub of Africa. Therefore the phenomenon of insecurity must have no place in Aba.

Plunging the artisanal town into a war zone is a sad occurrence that will never be allowed to thrive as we are determined to collectively and holistically put an end to this surfacing ugly trend.

In this difficult moment, where the populace are striving to survive, It is extremely incongruous, for a group of miscreants to physically, emotionally and psychologically exacerbate people's means of livelihood through unwarranted attacks.

While it is irrefutable that Security and Welfare remains the paramount essence of governance, it is imperative to acknowledge Governor Otti's effort in the wake of this ugly narrative. His commitment towards ensuring the outright security of the state and attracting foreign investors to boost the State's economy must not be undermined.

More so, As the lawmaker representing the Indefatigable people of Aba North And South Federal Constituency, I will continue to synergize with the Governor and security agencies towards safeguarding the lives and properties of my constituents.

I wish to equally assure you that concrete actions will be expedited towards addressing the rising security concerns within the propinquity of Aba North And South Federal Constituency.

Those fanning the embers of insecurity are hereby advised to desist forthwith As the Law is already closing in on them.

I heartily sympathize with the victims of the Sunday asymmetric attack and I promise to take every necessary measure within the confines of law to arrest this seemingly emerging threat.
