Most of those legendary musicians are flat broke because Nigerian music wasn't as hugely commercialized in their time as it is now. The internet made music big in our generation.

With Nigeria's massive population, we are increasingly forcing our music (afrobeat) on the rest of the world through the internet - a craft America mastered perfectly for several decades.
