An average business man does not want competition, but na rules in the country dey disturb them. In the USA, I have seen companies fined for take overs that would get them closer to a monopoly market.

I don't know why the current administration are standing up to Dangote. He has always enjoyed monopoly in Nigeria to being him close to any government in power (AGIP).

No one should be deceived. Behind the smile lies the very hidden truth. Every cloud has a sliver lining.

Yee true be told, over the yrs Dangote has enjoyed the support of govt at the center to which he maintained an all administration freezone but in the case of the current govt, well I can't tell why it isn't a business as usual.

U hardly see Dangote at the presidency joining the President and his economic entourage team attending one or two business conferences. The reason for this in my opinion, could be traced partly to the recent sudden increase in the prices of cement immediately Hon minister Umahi announced the importance of concrete road in the build up for Lagos-Calabar High Way contract.

FG considered this action as an affront as the reason wasn't justified which led the govt to summoned Dangote and co for a possible review of the in the cement industry.

Although, a reduction was agreed but not as significant as expected because a bag of cement sold at 4500/5000 naira in previous months suddenly got 95% 10,000 increase within the space of two months was unjustifiable even with govt efforts to effect a drastic reduction had little impacts as it only achieved 5% of the sudden shock.

The govt can either mobilize all state powers to clamp down Dangote and end his monopoly but it must be ready to offer up a better alternative better enough to justify it's actions otherwise, Dangote can crawl to play a smart one against the govt which may be dangerous for the polity.

However, in the face of serious hunger caused by either the policy of fuel subsidy removal or inflation by high exchange rate which had created sharp fall of our currency against the dollar the govt needs to be smart with Dangote refinery in order to mitigate our foreign reserve and use same to strengthen our naira since the demand for forex exchange would reduce for local production which will in turn give our Naira some leverage.

The govt needs to consider the interest of the general populace over the politics qt least for now.

This so-called "war" is unnecessary in our current situation. Dangote, NNPC & co need to resolve issues in the interest of Nigeria
