Protest is a democratic right so it's permitted but let everybody do it in their home state. Lagos will not allow IPOB members in the state again in the name of Protest.

Tinubu has till August 1st to reverse those his anti people policies. Failure to do that will result in massive protests. I repeat Kenya will be a child's play compared to what will happen in Nigeria. I was driving last week and someone was already threatening vio ppl that come August 1st Dem go follow collect.

Thank you UN, but these guys have ear problems.

We have been warning them o, they wont hear till they employ some jobless park touts to burn their old houses then turn around and look for who to pin it on.

Go and protest in your home states of Osun, Ondo, Oyo and Ogun states. We will check ID cards, if you're not from Lagos, we won't allow you join the protests. Just as many people were not allowed to vote in Lagos, they should not also join protests.

For the Ss and Se, you know that you have no dog in this fight, don't go and dance to a music you don't know who is beating the drums. Hardship dey, but dont enter prison because of a planned protest that has been placed as a trap for you.

Lol

It's just common sense. But then the chances of the protest even holding at all is probably 5%.

There would be a few people here and there and that's it.
Re: Protests Against Economic Hardship In Nigeria Likely To Be Hijacked, UN Warns by Chibuzoc(m): 9:58pm On Jul 23
cool
In a threat and risk assessment finding dated July 19, the UN expressed concerns about the possibility of violence, citing past instances where similar protests in Nigeria escalated.

“Recall that in the 13–16 February 2023 interval, tensions generated by the paucity of new Naira currency (financial crisis) reached high levels amongst the civilian population, which materialized in violent protests in the South-East and South-South regions of Nigeria, in the states of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Edo, Imo, Kwara, Lagos, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, and Rivers,” the threat and risk assessment reads.

Now we have new states in the South East and South south grin grin grin

Thunder fire UN there, why are they silent about the many anomalies going on in Nigeria? Today, some idiots gave the IGP the powers and tenure of the President all because of selfish interest.

The protest that will change Nigeria is not this is one. That one won't be planned for, everybody go just fall out and everywhere go scatter .
You are right. Revolution is never planned, it's spontaneous. As for this protest, nothing concern me. We warned but some people never listened.

Depends on the govt and their security agencies. They shouldn't say they never saw it coming; allow people to protest in peace

How come these foreign organizations keep mute when citizens are suffering under the burden of poor leadership and harsh policies, but start speaking up when there's a threat or whiff of revolution?!!

If UN, IMF, World Bank, Bill Gates, etc, join voices to call for better leadership in Nigeria and Africa, will they die?!! Will they go bankrupt?!!

These are the very same people that see glaring electoral malfeasance in Nigeria, and look away, only they later claim free and fair elections.

But, just the mention of protests, they remember their jobs and voices.

I thought as much

Protest that should get them unaware well because it is in mass what to say but there are other strategies to it.

All things will work together for good

This is the implication of protests alert by the organizers.

I'm not sure Kenyans give their govt heads-up prior to their grievance against the ruler.

Nigeria govt will use all means possible just to tone down the gains of the civil rights so as to achieve nothing and that's because u allowed them to build up against it

Honestly, the very fact that so called protesters gave notice of protest already shows they are not really interested in protesting anything.

A real protest is immediate, coordinated, and unrelenting!

When Nigerians are truly ready to revolt, there would be no need or room for notice.

Riots and uprisings are largely spontaneous and spread like wildfire.
