Use your spokesmanship to address hunger, hardship in Nigeria, Ohaneze replies Onanuga

The apex Igbo Socio-Cultural Organisation, Ohaneze Ndigbo, has urged the spokesman of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga to used his position to addressed hunger and hardship currently facing the country at the moment.

The organisation lamented that linking the 2023 Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi to the ugly situation in Nigeria by Mr Onanuga is uncalled for and insensitive to the plights of the masses.

The National Vice President Ohaneze Ndigbo South East Zone, Chief Demian Okeke-Ogene stated this in Awka, in reaction to Onanuga's comment on Peter Obi, urging Nigerians to hold him (Obi) responsible for whatever crisis that would emanate from the upcoming planned hunger/hardship protest, slated for 1st-10th August, 2024.

Onanuga also accused Obi of planning mayhem in the country.

But speaking further, Chief Okeke-Ogene charged Onanuga to focus more on how to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians rather than pointing allegation finger against innocent Nigerian.

He called on the President to caution Mr. Onanuga on his unguarded utterances against Peter Obi.

He also urged Onanuga to used the Spokemanship energy to focus more on making Nigeria a great place for all irrespective of tribe, ethic and religion affiliations.

While calling on Igbos residing in other part of the country to focus more on how to protect their properties rather than involving in the forthcoming planned protest nationwide, Ichie Okeke-Ogene however appealed the President to release the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from detention.###

I don't think that Peter Obi is responsible for the coming planned protest. Things are generally very very difficult. Every one is feeling the heat especially the low income owners.
