The situation of Nigeria today is already "a mass killing weapon" and we have the duty to rescue ourselves and the generation unborn

Protest against bad government is inevitable for all well meaning Nigerians

Nairaland is just trying all means to put fear for the protesters. Where are they digging all these old news from? For their mind they are smart.

The people of Nigeria want to protest with a view to express their displeasure over the lingering hardship by the party and not to burn down the country..

The blood seen here is not even up to the blood and lives that were wasted in that ghastly accident in front of that University gate some days ago.

This bloody is for a better reason.

Don't try to talk us out of the protest.

It's better we die protesting rather than fold our hands and watch hungry kill all of us and our offsprings.

THE PROTEST MUST HOLD!!

Are they protesting to Nigerians or government ? If they are protesting to government, they should go to government office and do their protest. They MUST not burn any BRT bus or steal anybody's property in the name of protest o.

The ugly scene, seen here below in the picture,is exactly what the IpOBIdients want to replicate in every part of Yoruba land, especially Lagos! They expect us to fold out arms while they are destroying our land and heritage in the name of "peaceful protests"! E go be for una, everyone of you idiots from that tiny cursed land of primitive forest-dwelling ancestors will pay for it with your miserable life! We will search for you wherever you may be living in every part of Yoruba land and no one will be spared, not even the stupid 'I'm Yoruba-but" idiotic fools among you!

Just be ready, it's going to be a very long August. It's not even about Lagos alone;it will happen simultaneously in every part of Yoruba land - wherever you fools reside in our land. We will smoke you out and do the needful to you, your families and your criminal businesses.

This is no chestbeating; it's an opportunity that some of us have been praying for.

See you on the streets in August. Don't even bother to quote me;you won't get any response from me on this.

This is what happens when people see a country as their family inheritance.

Remember the Arab spring, where are all those leaders now. The concept of ruling for eternity is just not practical anymore.

why will it turn ugly, give us a reason why you can't think of protest and Govt won't think Hijack

Agberos, hoodlums are people we see everyday & they live around us, these boiz can't even help you push car for free so what is in it for hoodlums that want to hijack protest if the govt is not the sponsporing it

Occupy Nigeria was a successful why can't the Nigerian police sending more of there warning messages to Thugs & Agberos in every area, since protest is constitutional you can't hamper it

The government has just increased minimum wage by over 100% and it's to be paid from April, May, June and July. It didn't take protests or burning down the country, grounding the economy and looting.

Listen to yourself Mr minimum wage..when does peaceful protest turn to violence if not that you bigots hijacked it..in 2012 there was a protest that involved some political elites and some state elders, there was no violence..but now You mischievous beings are planning to hijack it and labell it Obidient

How do you label a protest "days of rage" and call it peaceful protest? Who is leading your protest? Nobody wants to take accountability for that, headless mob. In 2012, we know the people that led the protests and they took full responsibility. They protested in their states and in front of their homes and businesses. They knew how to control it and when to stop it. Same cannot be said today. Even Falana who used to run mouth on your behalf, said he cannot join the protests as it is headless and without real motive.

I pity Broda Yekini if he sticks to this script of fingering the opposition to justify use of force. The bottled up frustration since 2015 will be unleashed on him.

hunger can unify the masses. Keep seeing one section of the country.
The frustration of Buhari will be visited upon Tinubu by buhari people. If it doesnt happen this August, which is time of highest food prices, then it will likely repeat itself next year.

But if Labour hadn't gone on strike, tell urself the truth, do you think that increase would have been implemented?

FG on its own after consultation increases minimum wage, why then did the NLC and TUC go on strike?

Are you typing from Nigeria or from Gaza?

NLC and TLC went on a useless strike that achieved nothing, fact. The government had promised to increase salaries from the onset, they were the ones that brought up issue of living wage, they were the ones that added 30,000 to salaries on ther own will. i remember in December, they said that minimum wage will start in April. They have done exactly as planned.

All these things happened without protests, violence, looting and loss of lives. That is the point.

The truth is clear, FG had it in plan. They even budgeted for it and said that they will start it from April. They said they were going for about double of salaries. ALL that has now happened. Everything is not by gragra. Student loan, 30,000 addition that they have been collecting, it was all planned regardless of gragra.
