From Streets to Strategy: A New Approach to Governance

Dear fellow youth,

As another campaign season approaches, I urge you to remember that we must not be used as tools in the hands of the government to intimidate the governed. We all know the truth, but often shy away from it. The harsh reality is that we, the youths, are the primary reason we find ourselves in this unfavorable situation.

It's time to acknowledge that our protests, although well-intentioned, have not yielded the desired results. We have shouted slogans, carried placards, and marched through the streets, but the status quo remains. We have been protesting for years, but what do we have to show for it?

The real protest against bad governance should be at the polls. It's time to move from streets to strategy. We need to channel our energy into building a movement that is sustainable, inclusive, and effective. We need to engage in grassroots mobilization, voter education, and community organizing. We need to support and amplify the voices of marginalized communities.

Let's take responsibility for our future and create the Nigeria we deserve. We must recognize that change is not an event, but a process. It requires patience, persistence, and dedication. We need to build a movement that is not just reactive, but proactive. A movement that is not just focused on what we're against, but what we're for.

So, I urge you, dear fellow youth, to rethink our approach. Let's move beyond protests and towards strategic action. Let's make our voices heard at the polls. Let's take control of our destiny and create a better future for ourselves and generations to come.

Sincerely,

Comrade Adeyemi Badejo
