Dear my Presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore,

I have been following your activities lately as it bothers on the State of our Nation, Nigeria..and you are yet to disappoint me as you are always in the news, as usual, for just reasons.. Fighting for the oppressed and advocate of good governance.

I am writing this open letter to you, not to lead or identify with the upcoming protest tagged "Day of Rage".. you will be cut in this crossfire as you will be targeted as the arrow head.

The youths of this Nation labeled you as SUG President and only good for protest when we were trying to sell your candidacy as the President of this country...

Now, they have witnessed loads of hardship, and instead of turning to their "Presidential candidate Messiah" to lead from the front, it is you, Omoyele Sowore, labeled SUG President , they are looking for to lead protest.

If you lead this protest or you are seen around this Protest, you have validated what they termed you to be good for... Protest ONLY.

I know you are not a coward and no one dare label you one as all Nigerians know you are not afraid of arrest and prosecution..but please, continue your struggle for social justice, equity and good governance the way you have been doing and do not lead this particular protest.

Let their Presidential candidates lead!

Thank you.

Op has absolutely zero intelligence. Why not ask FG to quickly start implementing tangible policy changes before the 1 of August to appear to love the people? If their greed will allow them.
You are flogging a child and telling him not to cry.

Simply stop beating him

I have not asked any child not to cry...you are free to protest.

I am only telling my own Presidential candidate not to be associated with this particular protest.

Go and call your Presidential candidate to lead.

I agree Sowore is not the reason for the protest.

I have only asked him not to be associated with it.

If Nigeria Youths says he is not good enough to be the President...then he is not good enough to lead this protest.

They should push their candidate to lead and not Sowore.

An unpatriotic person like u will spoil anybody's electoral value.
Patriotism is virtue that many lack that is why Nigeria suffers.
Please don't attach yourself to sowore u will spoil his chances you are better suited to be with the APC so u can concentrate on feeding fat.

Op, this is wrong. If everyone is waiting for their presidential candidates to lead a protest, then there would be no protest at all.

Opposition should be united in this fight.

PS: for ur info it was agbadorians that re against protests that called Sowore an SUG president

That's not correct..

When APC protested against Jonathan's administration..all of their heavy weights are at the fore front.

This case, where are the opposition voices..where are the so called Presidential candidates they voted for

My plea is simple...if Sowore is not good enough to be President of this Country..he should not be seen as the messiah to lead protests!

As for thr OP, I thought about this too

Youths use him for things like this but when its time to vote, they run after a 63yo man

If they dont deem him to be a Presidential material, then he should just ignore them in times like this too

What does Tinubu have to do with it? Sowore is and has always been my candidate and he represents my interests. You have no business complaining when any of us asks him not to lead or participate in this protest. You are a meddlesome parasite roaming about seeking men of integrity to take advantage of.

What about your leader? He is too good to protest with you but quick to write long messages pushing others to do so.

Don't you see how useless you are to to them? Shouldn't you have realized by now that you are the fool here?

Re: Open Letter To Omoyele Sowore - Day Of Rage Protest by ivandragon: 2:23pm On Jul 25, 2024
The protests has been hijacked by people with ulterior motives going from the list of demands presented.

The demands should have focused on tackling inflation and its attendant effects, improving security, putting a check of excesses of security agencies (modernise them and weed out bad eggs), allowing strategic importation of food, reduction in PMS prices or cushion the FX rates, repair of strategic live wire roads, slashing salaries and offices of political officials, getting a commitment that all states will pay minimum wage etc.

Talking about referendum, releasing kanu, minimum wage increase etc, are outside of what the protests is all about...

The protests is basically about

1. alleviating the present cost of living crisis,

2. reduction in governance expenses at the top

3. ensuring accountability to the masses

4. Go hard on insecurity, especially bandits and kidnappers.

The focus should not be lost or else, it just becomes another senseless rigmarole...

I tire oh.

A president that left issues of national importance that will turn around our economy quickly and focused on changing national anthem and elongating the tenure of the police IG making Nepotistic appointments to favour his cronies does He look serious.
