By learning how to speak the Jamaican Patois (patwa) language, He has been able to develop his in-born lyrical skills; to make great music in the Reggae & Dance-hall genres. Ruffman have featured in several collaborations with musical artistes,coming from different genres and making a fusion with his uniquely derived patwa lyrics to enhance their musical tunes. He was with a musical group called the Streetmonks and still features in collaborations with musical artistes as their ever growing demand for his style continues to grow. In 2011, Ruffman entered into an agreement with Pitch Records to produce his debut Album as a solo artiste, (Survivor).
