1. If anyone thinks Nigerian politicians will wake up one day and start functioning well with minimal or zero corruption that person must be sick in the head. Something has to FORCE our leaders to start doing the right thing and a heavy protest or revolution is the only force that can achieve it.

2. This protest is not just about Tinubu's government. A lot of bad governance has been going on in Nigeria for a long while and the masses have been patient enough to endure them. I think it is time to pass a message to the politicians that the masses are capable of reacting harshly to the bad leadership politicians provide.

3. Some people are worried about the destruction and death that may likely occur during the protest. But how many people will die of suffering, hunger and bad leadership in the next 10 years if we choose to do nothing? What about the destruction of Nigeria that the politicians have been carrying out over the years through corruption? It's better for Nigeria to burn down during the protests for one week and we recover from there than for our politicans to keep burning Nigeria slowly over many years while the masses keep bearing the prolonged heat.

4. If we take an exit from the protest at this point our leaders wouldn't take us serious anymore when we complain of hunger, because they will believe our previous threat to protest was all a joke.

You cannot change anything with this protest, note that.

Nigeria is too far gone for that.

So how would change happen? Will change happen by sitting and typing English criticising our leaders on social media?

Yes, while praying that education will change people from being tribalistic enough to allow an election rigged because of the tribe or religion of the person who will win.

Just because you can afford 10 square meals everyday doesn't mean everyone has that same grace. As long as many of your fellow citizens are not happy you will be vulnerable when their desperation forces them into crime and you become a victim.

That's a very slow process that takes many years. I don't think you will be alive to see it happen. We need a quicker solution.

You make valid points, but Nigeria is beyond redemption, nothing can save it

Don't be too quick, you'll make mistakes.

Good luck bro, we had your kind of optimism some years back.

Reality has humbled us.

It‘s obvious many Nigerians are still very comfortable with the current governance that, they don‘t wish to ask for more.

Countries like Kenya, Senegal, S/Africa etc wouldn‘t tolerate all these Anti-people policies from that Sniffer‘s govt even for just a Month without any protest.

Again, if it were PO at the helm of affair here, and things ain‘t going well in the country as it is currently, the protest that would erupt, especially from the S/western and Northern states, can be better imagine than explanation.

Even disintegration would still require a fight from the masses. Nigeria can't disintegrate just like that because the politicans are benefiting from the unity of Nigeria.
