The Customs Officers Wives Association (COWA) Kano/Jigawa Chapter, led by Chairperson Mrs. Zainab Dauda Chana, visited Nigeria Customs Primary and Secondary School, Ashton Road, Kano, to announce its support for education in the community.



This was contained in a statement signed by the PRO Kano/Jigawa Command, SC Saidu Nuruddeen on behalf of COWA Chairperson, Kano/Jigawa Chapter, made available at the weekend.



It explained that during the visit, Mrs. Chana commended the school's dedication to education and nurturing young minds, emphasizing the importance of education in building a prosperous future.



She announced COWA's initiatives to enhance the educational experience at the school, including:



"Donation of exercise books, educational materials, and writing materials to enrich the pupils/students and classrooms.

"Infrastructure development, including upgrading the playground and ensuring the school premises are safe and welcoming for all students," the statement said.



Mrs. Chana encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities presented to them, embracing learning with enthusiasm and curiosity. She also thanked teachers and staff for their dedication and hard work, acknowledging their positive impact on the students' lives.



On behalf of COWA President Mrs. Kikelomo Adeniyi, Mrs. Chana expressed gratitude to the school's headmistress, teachers, and staff for their warm welcome and incredible work.
