Who is going to supply them with arms. In addition, they most southerners in the core north would be in the minority. They would be overwhelmed by mobs.

My uncle that lived in the North for decades had to flee to the south in the early 90s from his position as a lecturer at ABU. He said it was neighbours that he had known for decades that was pointing out to the mob where the Christians in the neighborhood were.

He said they would be shouting and saying no Christian here so the Christians inside will think that they are safe, but at the same time be winking to the mob using facial expressions to go in and catch the Christians.

OP gave a good reminder to those that are not used to the operations in the North.
