As an astute businessman, Aliko has thus far refrained from direct involvement in partisan politics. This was good but not anymore.

The time has finally come for Aliko to jump right into the fray and run for president.

He is eminently qualified to be president because of what he has achieved in business. He is the richest man in Africa and has demonstrated unquestionably that he is a great, smart, and highly intelligent leader and manager of resources and men.

I will vote for him, right-thinking Nigerians will vote for him across the divides

He will win.

Dangote has invested so much in Nigeria and it will be a great disservice to allow all that be destroyed by incompetent, highly corrupt nonentities in government.

If Dangote decides to run for President in 2027, it would be a game changer for Nigeria! This man has the vision and the business acumen to turn things around.

His track record speaks for itself; from the Dangote Refinery to his numerous investments across the nation, he understands what it means to build and sustain an economy.

Imagine a Nigeria where our resources are effectively managed and we become less reliant on imports.

The youth would have job opportunities, and the economy would flourish. It’s time for a leader who prioritizes the common man and drives real change.

Let’s rally behind this idea! We need a visionary like Dangote to take Nigeria to the next level!

No sensible govt will allow such to have monopoly on any essential commodity

The political class will not welcome him. They are friends with him now and calls him a great guy because of his monetary donations and his supports during elections, but the day he chose to challenge the political class, will be the beginning of his end.

Examples:
1. MKO Abiola was a great guy, a moneybag and good friend to the supreme military council till he decides to become their boss and that was the beginning of his end.

2. Pablo Escobar never really had much issues with the Colombian government till, he joined politics and won election for the Colombian house of assembly, and that was the Red line for them.

They are all friends with him, till he shows interest in being the president.

Dangote is heading towards retirement at his age.

Nigeria needs a young vibrant person who doesn't mind losing his life, while stepping on toes to fix the country.

In politics not everyone will support you but you don't need 100% to win an election. 50% is enough

I will campaign for him and make sure I convince all the people I know to vote him. He has track records that are visible to everyone.

Never going to happen.

Aliko Dangote's great-grandfather, Al-Hassan Dantata, taught his children that they should never get involved in politics. He said that they should be friends with all authorities and resolve disputes quickly, but they should never get involved in politics.

Dangote has also said that he is not a politician and he has no desire to get involved in politics.

Well, that's true in theory, but many of them are rudely shocked when confronted with political realities . . .

Business principles are laid out in black and white. All you need to succeed is to apply them diligently. In politics, there are principles that don't make sense - for instance, a stark illiterate could be the leader of a nation where there are more highly educated and accomplished persons. Or people would prefer to vote a known criminal over a 'better' candidate just because he/she is from their village or identifies with their religious beliefs. In politics, many things are determined by interest, not principles.

That's why many upright entrepreneurs prefer to keep politics and politicians at arms length.
