Onovo3:Over 99% of goods you consume --- many of the services as well --- are imported and hence dependent on the exchange rate of even the pound. The millions of dollars sent back from abroad to prop up your Nigerian economy some, is measured not in Naira by your own government. 1 Like |

If 1$ was equal to 2500 yen in China, they will be very happy. You know why? they are a productive hardworking people. Here you have a bunch of lazy people who just want to import everything and when they cannot afford their imports, they resort to protest. Since 1 pound is now 2500 naira, how about you make lemonade from Lemon and export 1000 pound worth of items, that is already 2.5 million naira. Nonsense 1 Like 1 Share |

How much shilling did our money gain? Maybe you didn't know. Our currency was higher than dollar. We were exporting. When Gowon said we have money problem our money was already loosing much value. So since then. What have anyone including government added to the value of our currency that you are asking a private citizen such question? |

blacknp: I know you lack the ability to use your brain for critical thinking. I have tried to knock some sense into it but the barrier is too hard. One last question What is the value of Dangote total investment in Nigeria? Did those investments add a shilling to our currency? |
Re: One Pound Is Almost N2,500 And You Are Asking Nigerians To Keep Quiet by DeLaRue: 10:49pm On Jul 27 |
Kobojunkiee: False. Nigeria doesn't import 'over 99% of the goods it consumes'. You people will just be presenting hot air as true statistics. |
