PLANNED PROTEST: PLATEAU POLICE COMMAND ARRESTS SUSPECT BEHIND INCITING TIKTOK VIDEO

The Plateau State Police Command has arrested a man behind a TikTok video that encouraged violence in connection with a planned nationwide protest. The video, posted on an account called "Dan-Mallam68," urged people to attack security forces and destroy public and private property in Plateau State.

On July 27, 2024, the Police Command was alerted to the video. Acting quickly, Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina directed officers to track down the person responsible. The next day, July 28, 2024, at around 11:30 AM, the police arrested Suleiman Yakubu, a 34-year-old man from Jos North, who confessed to making the video.

The Police are continuing their investigation. The Commissioner of Police stressed that any attempts to disrupt peace in the State will not be tolerated. He urged all residents to stay calm and follow the law, and to avoid making any statements that could incite violence.

Another one bites the dust.

Just because you want to go viral, you now want to incite chaos?

When will people learn that social media is not a playground for nonsense?

Instead of seeking clout, how about we seek solutions? Naija no need more wahala.

Plateau State Police on high alert, catching clout instead of criminals.

Why are we still surprised? TikTok has become the new town crier for the misled youths.
