Keyamo Overrules NAMA, Suspends Planned 800% Levy Hike by ogododo: 8:09pm On Jul 29

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency has suspended its earlier announced increase in navigational charges.

This was made known through a statement by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection of NAMA, Abdullahi Musa, on Monday.

The NAMA spokesman noted that the backtrack by the agency was in response to the directive of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.

Musa added that the decision follows the Minister’s recognition of the current economic challenges faced by Nigerians.

Last Friday, NAMA announced its intention to raise its navigation charge by 800 per cent, a decision that raised concerns from both passengers and stakeholders in the aviation sector.

Musa further noted that the minister emphasised the need for further consultation before implementing any changes, highlighting the importance of being sensitive to the plight of Nigerians amidst these economic challenges.

I knew that Nigeria is doomed when Satan resurfaced Buhari and Tinubu in 2015 as opposition. We are already bad in economic aspect but I knew deep down that these two was a greater devil then. I mean, let's be honest; how can you trust an analog old timer with a cast mentality like Buhari to lead the country. Even some of you can not allow Buhari to manage your company if he apply as COO (chief operating officer) let alone lead more than 200 million people. Tinubu's own anathema is arrogance, greed and solipsism. They handed Lagos template to him and he screwed everyone, thinking that Lagos State represents a complete microcosm aspect of Nigeria
