Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has highlighted a reason why Nigerians should join the nationwide protest on August 1.

In a chat with DAILY POST, Adeyanju said: “N100,000 is the new N10,000 and you say people should not protest. The naira is almost worthless because of bad policies.”

Nigerians will embark on a nationwide protest on August 1 over the hardships in the country.

Nigerians from all walks of life have been urged to take to the streets despite cautions from the Nigerian government and security agents.

It isn't the Naira that is worthless. Rather, it is the income earned by the average Nigerian that has become worthless. This is why we were agitating for, or at least expected the NLC to drive for a common sense wage. But unfortunately, Ajero and his team allowed themselves get played by a crook.
