A lawyer and rights activist, Olukoya Ogungbeje has instituted a fundamental right enforcement suit against the Federal Government and the security agencies in the country, over alleged move to stop the proposed ‘hunger protest’, scheduled to hold between August 1 to 10, 2014.

This is just another way to distract us from the real issues at hand.

Protests are part of democracy, but filing a N1bn suit? That's a bit excessive, don't you think?

FG has the right to maintain peace and order, especially when we know how these protests can turn chaotic.

Instead of wasting resources on lawsuits, let’s focus on constructive dialogue and solutions. We need to channel our energies into making Nigeria better, not fighting against our own government.

After all, we all want the same thing: a prosperous Nigeria.
