Deal with crude oil thieves. Increase production capacity to 2m BPD. Dangote, BUA (with 200 BPD next year), PH, Warri and other refineries, get more supply of crude. Work on gas production Improve on revenue from other natural resources, Deal with corruption in the country very ruthlessly. Deal with insecurity nationwide Get farmers to access their land and start massive production of food. Nigeria without doubt will climb out of the hole. They know these things, but looting will ever allow them put these things into practice. |

MasterJayJay:who did FG have the forward sale agreement with? Afreximbank.....the same Afreximbank who is to mediat the transactions between Dangote and NNPC.....the new deal now will most likely be an allowance to supply Dangote the crude pegged at a slightly above rate to accommodate interest for the bank.....the Naira value will most likely be BTW 65$ - 70$ per barrel.....NNPC will be off the hook for its forward sales, Dangote will get his crude and Afreximbank will get to charge interest on sales without having to deal with cost of export and as the bank they will monitor sales receipt and still be able to charge on bank Transaction along side Access bank which is the local bank and also represent Dangote as his bankers..... |

Lithiumite: I already showed you he removed the subsidy but your guys including tinubu organized a protest. i already show you he removed fuel subsidy and then put it back when the nation protested. ask yourself when no protest when tinubu removes it? Tribalism right?

Everyone, do you remember when fmr. President Buhari was bleating up and down, that we need to move away from oil, but instead put in place a more powerful cabal loyal ( maybe) to him and his ethnicity? Suddenly, no one is talking about, "Move Away from oil" again. Bunch of sick, evil, twisted men. |

bemeruca: If you supported GEJ for removing it,them why do you have a problem with tinubu for doing same......intact you are supposed to be happy GEJ has been vindicated.....subsidy removal no matter who did it will have same effect on the economy. |
Re: Tinubu’s Order Won’t End Dangote Refinery Woes – Experts by bemeruca: 1:57am On Jul 31 |
Lithiumite: I am not in support of that. I am pointing out that haters who are angry a man from Bayelsa is the president all cried when he did what they wanted to do. only to enter power later and do it. Jonathan was weak and bad because he did not remove the subsidy. these are people who cried when he removed the subsidy and made him backtrack on his actions. Today, what is happening? everything is worse. |
Re: Tinubu’s Order Won’t End Dangote Refinery Woes – Experts by Lithiumite: 3:48am On Jul 31 |
bemeruca: You are still bringing ethnicity into a problem that affects everyone whether in bayelsa or in Lagos....GEJ has long moved on and you need to do same.subsidy removal is the best option, now we are beginning to look inwards into seeing how we can refine our own crude which will be better for our economy on the long run but we were enjoying cheap fuel for too long we lost our senses.....GEJ wasn't bold enough, you need to appreciate this once for at least being bold...... everyone knows subsidy removal won't be easy on the people. What are your governors doing, how much are they investing in agriculture and economic empowerment of the people.....we really aren't focusing on the really important issues..... there is no food in the land that is the primary problem but no,they are busy chasing shadows. |

Lithiumite: I am not the one bringing that. I am merely telling you how they were against him Because of tribalism |
Re: Tinubu’s Order Won’t End Dangote Refinery Woes – Experts by Lithiumite: 7:06am On Jul 31 |
bemeruca: You using the tribalism statement to explain what happened in 2012 is the same reason tinubu's people would want to protect him also .... instead of everyone rallying together to demand for accountability and good governance.....what happened to GEJ was purely politics and he lost out because he wasn't too adept in the game. |
Re: Tinubu’s Order Won’t End Dangote Refinery Woes – Experts by bemeruca: 7:36am On Jul 31 |
Lithiumite: Tinubu and his people engineered a protest against him and now they are saying we should not protest for the hardship. It's tribalism |

bemeruca: Keep going round in circles and expect different results....then when it's others turn, the other tribes too will gather against him....an eye for an eye will make the world blind......hunger knows no tribe or religion, all the politicians from all the different tribes eat on the same table and laugh at you for fighting yourselves over tribalism. |

Islie: Dangote refinery with the same Dangote monopoly. Monopoly is the only thing causing problems between Dangote and NNPC, If the federal government and Dangote want best for Nigerians they will follow the same measure used in the Electricity section. IPP produces and supplies to private distributors, from distributors to the government, then governments supply to the masses. What will happen if the federal government is in charge of crude supplied to Dangote refinery, even if it is 1 million barrels or 650K barrels every day, all the refinery knows is that they are getting their daily supply from FGN whether they get it from Nigeria or heaven is not their concern. And if it comes out that the refinery management knows where to get the oil cheaper than Nigeria when Nigeria crude is not available, they will inform the government department in charge of supplying them, so the government can get it cheaper and also supply them with a discount. On the other hand after refining the oil, FGN through NNPC buys the refined oil and continues to supply to the both local and international market as they are doing already. This process cannot stop the refinery from making their money. Because after oil is refined, other things are still coming out which also add big money to the refinery pocket. Depending on their agreements the refinery doesn't need to pay money to the supplier before getting the crude because the refined crude will be supplied back to the same government sector while the government sector pays little money to the refinery, this little amount is added as the refinery selling price to the government. This small amount can runs into billions of naira, for example that governments supply 1 million barrels at price of N750 per barrel, know it that 150 liters make 1 barrels of crude oil, let it be that the refinery supply back to the government at 400 naira per a litter, after the calculation the refinery will still make big profit, oil can be measure per barrels when selling from crude but cannot supply per barrels after refined. This will save Dangote from headache and also save Nigerians petroleum marketers and Nigerians from the Dangote monopoly which is all his struggling to gain ground to start doing through the refinery. If the federal government can do it in the electricity sector why not apply the same to individual refineries? or the owners now above the law that their investment cannot pass through rules without monopoly that will suffer Nigerians. If handling the individual refinery is a big issue to the government, why can't the same government quit from handling electricity so that independent power producers can sell their generated electricity to the masses at the same cheap rate they supply to the government and make their money too. |
