Good to have a pro-democracy activist like Tinubu as President.

As we have been informed, the Tinubu government has promised not to deploy the army like OBJ, Jonathan, or Buhari did when they were in power.

Even the Police Force has been very civil with its engagement of the leaders of the protest in a way Nigerians have never experienced, and have promised to provide adequate security to keep everyone safe during this period.

The OP has helped to remind all Nigerians that we have a man who had the courage to lead protests and warn the government not to perpetrate any violence against the protesters.

Even the protest he led in Ojota signified a turning point in peaceful protests in the annals of Nigerian democratic resistance.

And finally in 2014, same Tinubu called for a democratic revolution that will sack the PDP from power and bring about change. He accomplished it the very next year with the support of Nigerian voters.

Since it's throwback, it wipes off his statement and stance on protest?

Not at all or you don hear say Tinubu told police to attack protesters?

Tinubu has never said anybody shouldn’t protest. What he’s against is destruction like how it happened during the end sarz..

Tinubu has led peaceful protest for 2weeks at Ojota, until the Jonathan regime sent the military to a democratic gathering of lawful Nigerians who did not vandalize or damage a single property.

We need the OP to keep reminding Nigerians that President Tinubu did not become a democratic leader overnight.

He fought in the opposition and led protests, so he knows what it means for the people to have the right to protest peacefully as he did.

They cannot show you 1 single evidence that Tinubu protested with violence or denied others the right to protest.

This very topic is a good reminder of the kind of democrat we now have in power.

No be militarized democrat like Obasanjo or Buhari, or like Jonathan who saw every negative report as a calculated embarrassment by those against his government.

Tinubu has even been engaging Nigerians from all walks of life, to let them kniw how the government is trying its best. Even the police force is having very cordial engagements with the protest leaders.

Even the lritest leaders are so relaxed that they are asking for Air Conditioned buses to convey protesters to the approved venues.

Nigerians are not used to this level of civility.

Tinubu has used civility to cause confusion to the plans of those who do not intend for peaceful protests.

Your problem is that you are not used to the level of civility and citizen engagement that the Tinubu Presidency has demonstrated, and that the Nigerian Police Force has copied to manage this protest.

After 2weeks and nobody is shot or harassed, I hope the mischievous protesters in their midst will not start attacking each other.

This Tinubu regime will demonstrate the restraint that will make you angry at your failed objectives.

Yes!

Let it be gone as Buhari planned it and the top 3 candidate supported it.

I may not support its removal because I knew the consequences, but I will not pretend that Tinubu did not support its removal as a candidate, and followed it up on the 1st day in office.

But Sowore who is a protest leader that wants subsidy to be returned, never supported its removal, but did you or me vote for him?

How many thousands of votes did he win compared to the millions won by Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi?

That is why those top losers, cannot champion any protest against what they supported as presidential candidate.

Categories of the protesters

1. The Igbos who are pained that their tribesman lost the 2023 elections, hiding under the disguise of "Bad Governance" after labelling the country zoo before Peter Obi announced his candidacy

2. The deluded Obedients who were expecting different results from a fuel subsidy removal because of Peter Obi unrealistic promises

3. The jobless smokers and alcoholics whose only source of joy is chaos which will set up the right avenue for them to loot people's businesses

4. The uneducated northerners who didn't see flaws in Buhari for 8 years but had a brain programme reset immediately the President is from the region of "Infidels"

I've been saying it, this protest lacks substance, unlike the EndSars protest where Nigerians were fighting against Police atrocities and extortion, it's a very distasteful one that lacks responsible purpose, if anyone of you attack military officers and you get killed in the process, you will be tagged a villain

Only that Nigerian voters didn't ask for a detailed explanation of the type of change.

Tinubu is speaking facts! The police need to understand that their safety matters too.

We all want peace in Nigeria, and violence should never be the answer. It's high time everyone remembers that dialogue is better than confrontation. Let's keep the streets safe for all, both protesters and officers. This is the leadership we need!
