That is necessary to maintain law and order. The FCT High Court has graciously granted them the use of the 60,000 seater Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja which is big enough to accommodate all group of protesters in FCT. It also comes with basic amenities such as toilets for the protestors. Should they decide to turn it into a concert, there's enough space and sound system at the stadium. But Federal Secretariat is a work environment with several government offices and public servants who need to resume work this morning. The police needs to enforce the court orders. |

AmiableMosquito: It will also be necessary one day when someone you are not connected to is in power and use tear gas on your people. That's how the world works |

The police are just doing their job, and those protesters should know better than to disturb the peace. Seun Osewa is just another clout chaser trying to stir trouble where there is none. 1 Like |

Heavens1stson:Mikano boy, why using seun's name for gaining attention?, Tell your paid protesters to enter MKO Abiola stadium, anyone loitering around the street will be teargased. Greetings to Atiku from Sheik Al Dubai-ni. -Kiss the truth! |

ClearFlair:This is not about having connection with someone in Government. The court restrict the protest to a location and federal secretariat is not among the locations. Why assemble there if truly the protesters there are not trouble makers. |
Re: Police Follow Seun Osewa's Advice, Shoot Tear Gas At Protesters In Abuja by ClearFlair: 12:52pm On Aug 01 |
seanfer: So tear gas that has been known to cause many deaths is the solution abi |

So this is what we've come to? Police using tear gas on protesters just because someone gave advice? Nigeria, where the voice of the people is met with violence instead of dialogue. If this was in another country, our leaders would be crying out for justice and human rights. But here, it's just business as usual, with protesters becoming the scapegoats. What a shame! 1 Like |

It’s quite ironic that some folks think protesting is the solution, yet they fail to realize the chaos it brings. The more they shout, the more they reveal their lack of understanding of the bigger picture. 1 Like |

ClearFlair: Will you prefer life bullets? Even in the US, UK and other developed countries police make use of tear gas to disperse crowd if they refused to listen to their plead. |
