They were very vociferous criticising Tinubu as the root of the problems we all know Northern leaders like Atiku have caused, over many decades, for their region and people.

That problem came back to haunt them spectacular in the form of millions of restive and very angry youths they left illiteracy, deprivation, insecurity, neglect, lack of opportunities, severe poverty etal to devour from birth.

The North, unfortunately and due to Northern leaders entirely, host the sort of youths who should never have been put in this position anyway because everything that has been allowed to define their character and mindset indicated they can never be controlled or modulated once triggered on a "day of rage" talk less of 10.

Still, they were 'weaponised', provoked and baited thoughtlessly to then be sent out to confront the "devil" Tinubu by those who should have known better and put the security of human lives and property above everything else..

After what we have all seen, and praying to God it does not worsen, Why are prominent Northerners, previously sabre-rattling uncompromisingly, now slow to give their thoughts publicly?

Why have they left only Shehu Sani, Sarki (aka waspapping) and a few other outspoken Northerners to be weeping online?

The only comments from Atiku yesterday was about one person threatening the Igbo's but the elder stalesman chose to tag the whole Yoruba into it.

The destructions across North yesterday, Atiku is yet to be informed.

Very petty Atiku

Lol. Incredible. Really cannot see the way out for the North with the likes of Atiku being part of the current leadership crop while El Rufai"s Son and his type are supposedly the future of the region.

This is not about politics Madam. This is about human lives and the condemnable exploitation of the most vulnerable that Northern leaders, at all levels, have always deliberately instigated and used for their own parochial agendas. They should be called out for it by all well-meaning Nigerians.

They armed disillusioned, restive and angry young men to become terrorists and bandits, troubling Nigerian severely today.

Same way, in regards to the protest, many Northern leaders spoke in incendiary tones without caution and with zero recognition of their own reality which they are directly responsible for.

They feigned ignorance of the existence of a largely illiterate, restive, angry and casually violence-prone youth class that is in place due to the spectacular failure of Northern leadership.

They encouraged their youths, because of hidden agendas, to go and protest.

Now that those same youth, that many Nigerians worry cannot be controlled, have trooped out to cause mayhem, as some of us predicted would happen, why are Northern leaders silent?

Are they waiting for Tinubu to speak so they can then blame him for the actions of their own youths as they blame him for insecurity and poverty in the North?

Are you a Northern leader? I ask because it amazes me you can say Tinubu caused the hunger, inflation and unemployment Northerners are protesting against.

The North contributes 87% to the most poverty-stricken Nigerians existing long before Tinubu came to power.

Severe poverty, deprivation, unemployment , disease proliferation, along with the worst development index know to man, has been the fate of the North for decades now because of the failure of Northern leaders.

Food inflation is in part caused by severely compromised farm harvest and yield that is the direct consequence of banditry across the whole of our nation we all know Northern leaders, long before Tinubu arrived, had made our tragic reality.

If responsible, should same Northern leaders have encouraged restive, angry and disillusioned youth to go and pour all their frustration, equal to each of the age of all their youth, be that 16 or 35 years, on Tinubu?

If sincere, genuinely regretful of how they have failed their people and sincerely dedicated to a progressive Nigeria for themselves and others, should Northern leaders not have encouraged their youths to seek an audience with the FG and present their demand?

You forget we know the North and the existence of a culture that forbids Northerners to criticise their leaders or protest against them publicly.

Yet same Northern leaders, who enjoy that privilege, encouraged their restive and angry youths to go out and protest against Tinubu rather than urge them to demand a negotiation meeting with a government panel formally.

Even aside that, and granting your argument some credit, why have Northern leaders not immediately spoken after the carnage seen, if they mean well, to reign in Northern youth and demand they refrain from violence, looting, wanton criminality and breach of peace?

To all progressive Nigerians, including Northerners, it would appear Northern leaders are using Northern youths cynically again and as usual.

What do you want them to say now that they haven't been saying before ??
Has the Nigerian president addressed the nation? That is the person you should be asking for
What do you want them to say now ? Do you want them to tell people to calm down so that you will call them traitors or you want them to ask people to continue protesting so that the government will accuse them of inciting violence ??
Abeg leave them oo.

See, even though Tinubu met inflation, Hunger and Unemployment, He made it worst for everyone by removing subsidy and floating the Naira.
At least, during Buhari time, people were still managing to feed their self and food price was still considerate affordable for most people's.

No Government can say they are doing fine when most of is citizens are Hungry and food are expensive to buy. This is just the basic life of a average citizens in a country.

Tinubu should rethink is policy and apply wisdom to it

Tinubu has said it repeatedly during his campaigns that he will not budge or listen to anything protest , that no matter the amount of protest he won't listen he will only do what he feels is the best.

Indeed. Not even calming instructions to douse the possibility of further chaos, deaths and destruction of property. "Deafening silence" precisely.

Why you think the hypocrisy and double standards of the North, and especially of its leaders, is invisible, makes me wonder whether these people and people who talk like you actually think the rest of Nigeria are fools. It is a given that this section of the country have, since the days of GEJ, been responsible for all the woes bedeviling the country all because they believe they own the country and everybody must bow to their will.
