toneroforever:Yes, I was also curious about the staggered Oro festival but I got to realize that every kingdom in Lagos State has a unique date for an Oro ceremony or based on Ifa divination through the Babalawos (Babalawos are otherwise called Ifa priests), an emergency Oro ceremony can be convened to cleanse the lands. So, sometimes it's fixed but at other times it can be impromptu. As long they do not harm folks and do their ceremonies overnight till early morning as usual, that should be fine. In Japan, China, India, Myanmar, etc, these folks are still in tune with their centuries-old cultures and are in sync with modernity, so, I would respect their right of choice. I woman in her 60s who is from Ukwuani in Delta State but born and based in Lagos told me that they have the same type of "Oro" ceremony in her hometown and she is okay with it because it also take place overnight. That was quite revealing. All the best. |

Ironbull:I agree with you there. I saw a news report yesterday from the Presidency that the Nigerian President has issued an immediate directive to NNPC to supply Dangote Petrochemical Refinery with crude oil directly and even the government has offered since last month to do a free CNG conversations for all NURTW vehicle in Nigeria at designated centers so that would enable vehicles to buy CNG at N200 per standard cubic feet which is way cheaper than buying PMS. Dangote too will start PMS production in August 2024 so there should be enough PMS before the end of August. There are 6 new NNPC CNG refill stations in Lagos already since May 30, 2024 and vehicles that have converted to CNG are already benefiting from the cheap CNG. If this is fully implemented, the cost of transportation of food items in trucks and humans in buses will drop sharply and drugs too will witness massive reductions. If CNG circulates all over Nigeria, and price control is introduced to tie in with reduction in transportation from CNG, then life will be good again for Nigerians. Dangote can still export the refined PMS abroad to earn FX and that will make the Naira stringers and conserve FX for the government as savings from NOT importing fuel again. |

Guz: Something's already fishy: reduce the bandwidth, jam the network, slow it down, frustrate them... Sometimes, EyeNeck it (TurnItOff) Wow! Makes sense since 01-August! Besides, Guz: Update: BAT said: if you like protest till tomorrow that he won't reverse his stupid policy of SubsidyIsGone! BUT u still dey pay trillions of naira, for subsidy nah, abi, na catch out for your election investments becos you know 2027 is gone? Moreover, The only rulership (colonial masters style) BAT understands is ruling by proxies. Unfortunately for BAT, Naija no bi Lagos. If only una know how much BAT spent to stop these protests! He's so frustrated, disappointed & helpless. Soon, he will be desperate & roll out the tanks on democracy. Check out his Personality Profiling...(BAT knows & doesn't believe you voted him, he believes he BOT his way out, & so, doesn't care about you & your protests). But this time round, he must bow to the people. Anything that doesn't lead the reversal of subsidy is not desirable! If you want BAT to bow, use CONSISTENCY/RESILIENCE/PERSISTENCE against him. Lagosians did dat during Presidential Elections in February 2023,despite rigging, bribery, corruption, intimidation, fake news, propaganda, et al! The only language BAT understands is ... |

These people have this their false and inciteful idea of people wanting to change government engrained in their brains. i have not seen any poster so far demanding " Change of Government" Instead of addressing the issues being present this fraudster is playing the propaganda they have mastered. |
