I saw a thread where people were heaping and hurling curses on the Military for threatening to gag the media. When are we going to be smart enough to direct our anger at the appropriate subject which is Tinubu?
Tinubu controls NNPC, Controls the Media and National Broadcasting Service, He owns the judiciary like a pet on leash while he single handedly appointed IGs and the Head of Military. Tinubu is a ruler who despises the people he govern, so he only speaks to them through his lap dogs.
.
Tinubu has a dirty and inglorious reputation for Killing opposition both literally and figuratively, when u recount or remember all his brutal-authoritarian-hold-tight-leadership atrocities in Lagos for the past 24 years.
Tinubu is adept at masterminding propaganda and has a terrible history of Killing dissenting media voice or any opposition to his dictatorship. Tinubu hates media freedom. Tinubu is never a democrat, has never been a democrat and will never be. The philosophy of Tinubu is not compatible with progressive democracy anywhere in the world. He's a quintessential of the worst of authoritarian, machiavellian and wicked monarchical hold onto power u can ever see in history.
.
Any sensible human passionate about statehood and progress, who understand democracy and its ideal will fight tooth and nail to never allow a political cancer and vampire like Tinubu to come near the instrument or seat of democratic power. Since we allow it, this suffering and pharaoheic callousness is inevitable.

Apart from Tinubu speaking through the military boss, his lapdog, to threaten us with death and violence,he has also bribed telecommunications owners to throttle down the internet, that's another form of media gagging. Expect more to come. Unless this structure called Nigeria collapse under his grip, we can never smell freedom or relief. Nigerians played into his trap of ethnic jingoism otherwise we should have united after the election with a nation wide protest and chase him away like a dog. Again he won by taking advantage of our religious and tribal hatred for each other that was why we couldn't unite and protest the election result.

If all religions and language won't cone together to chase this wicked imposter away, 8 years of suffering will really teach us a lesson we will never forget about bad leadership.

Tinubu knows what he's doing. We need order in the country, and sometimes tough decisions must be made.

Please lets think like humans, not thinking from a point of self deception. A president who is taking tough economic decisions that only makes his people unable to afford food but he himself is buying private jet, building mansion for his VP, buying presidential yacht, budgeting 1.5 billion for his wife's car. Is that a good leader? and will you accept such so called tough decisions?. You expect people to suffer what you the leader is unwilling to suffer. Leaders must show good example.

Your power is nothing if your people dying of disease and starvation
Your power is nothing if your people cannot feed
Your power is nothing if your people have no peace

Tinubu is simply playing the long game.

It's not about silencing the media, it's about maintaining national security. A leader has to make tough decisions, and if that means controlling the narrative for the greater good, so be it.

The military is just following orders from a president who understands the stakes. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just missing the bigger picture.

The truth of the matter is that even if Tinubu is in a life support and contests for election, his supporters will still vote for him, they will tell you it is his brain we need, and not his body.
