The Bauchi Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew in the Katagum Local Government Area of the state following the violence that trailed the #EndBadGovernance protests.

Demonstrators on Monday set parts of the local government secretariat on fire, destroyed vehicles, and vandalized the home of a former Deputy Governor Baba Tela, looting properties in the process. The unrest spread through several streets of Azare town in Katagum LGA.

Worried by the significant damage to government buildings and residential properties, the state governor, Bala Mohammed, imposed the curfew to avoid escalation of the situation.

This was disclosed in a statement on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Ibrahim Kashim.

“Due to the deteriorating situation in Azare and its environment, leading to the destruction of public property, stealing, and victimisation, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has approved the imposition of a 24-hour curfew in the Katagum Local Government Area to contain the situation,” the statement read

The governor has also directed all security agencies to address the unrest and apprehend those responsible for the violence, urging law-abiding citizens to cooperate with security forces during this period.

Tinubu has failed
If he knows what's good, he better reduce fuel price as soon as possible
That's the only way to end this carnage if not his govt will be battling unrest in the North for the next four years
He should ask Jonathan

That paid media thug from the lineage of r.apists, what say you? This one too na Abia State or Anambra? I didn't kukuma mention Reno Omokri name oh!

BTW:

Reno Omokri posted a 2020 post of GEJ eulogizing him on his FB timeline. The mofo feels GEJ still thinks same way of him, considering his despicable divisive posts and infantile dispositions.

Please you people should support Tinubu. He is doing the best for Nigeria today. Even Peter obi can't do it like him, no need to waste your support.

If you are a notherner here talk to your brothers and sisters to use their head on time, nobody wants the best for Nigeria better than the president

Northerners don't know how to protest. They just protest by burning things.
When it comes to protest, I give it to Southerners. They do it with sense. They block Lekki Toll Gate, got the government by the balls. The next day Sanwo-Olu fly Abuja go meet Buhari.

Where are the e-rats that say it’s only Igbos are that pained that a Yoruba man won the election?

Why are they so scared to speak against the northerners? Are the northerners not pained too?

He should ask Jonathan
This is true
Once violence starts in the north, it is always hard to end. He should reduce fuel price even if it is for sometime to quell the situation. Some persons were killed in some part of Abuja yesterday because of this protest. The thing is brewing gradually. He had the opportunity to end this on Sunday by reducing fuel price, but he didn't. People are losing lives already. I think this is where Jonathan was different.

Three groups of people are behind this senseless protest.
1. Economic cabals especial fuel and forex cabals whose conduit pipes have been blocked by Tinubu due to the two unpopular policies of dollar and fuel subsidy removals
2. Elections losers who lost the election to him and have been looking for ways to destabilize his government and encourage military coup.
3. Northern supremacists who are now temporarily out of power and can't wait for their turn again. Tinubu is busy destroying their grips on Nigeria and this is seen as big threat to their dominance.
One of these groups is surely the mastermind why the other two have seen a medium to actualise their aim and are now co-sponsors.
Since the protest is a multi-groups facilitated one. Tinubu is in for a long ride unless he dropped his gentle man attitude of Jonathan and employ rudeless Abacha style. undecided

Tinubu isnt really as experienced as we rate him.

Presidents before Tinubu always had a way to make these guys feel included. Even when Buhari lost elections and threaten soaking the baboons in blood, it didn't get this bad.

Now Tinubu acting like he doesn't care has brought this result.

He must deal with it.

This is what we were saying; protest in Nigeria has never bring anything good but destructions. .All the Governors that refuses to cushion the effect of hunger in their domains will have themselves to be blamed for whatever damages that occur in their domain. Tbe federal Govt must never give anything to any state as claims for compensation
