Everyone knew what Tinubu was capable of during the election campaign. Yet here we are, with people pretending to be shocked by his underwhelming performance. This is Tinubu, folks; this is who he really is.

They're still boldly insisting we give him four years. I repeat today (06/08/2024): that after four years, Nigeria will be worse off, reaching a point of no return.

After four years, he'll demand another term, claiming four years isn't enough. By then, voting won't matter; the Supreme Court will declare him winner, thanks to Wike's wife's influence, Wike's judicial connections, Ariwoola's son, and the CBN's treasury.

Eight years later, he'll turn around and blame Jonathan and Yar'Adua. During his second term, he'll pretend to be as deaf as Buhari.

I get it; my Yoruba brothers want a Yoruba president. But remember, we had a prestigious Yoruba president not too long ago. He left us with a 0% debt from the Paris Club, fuel at less than 50 naira per litre, a functioning EFCC, ICPC, Servicom, telecom investments, and a dollar exchange rate of 80 naira.

We all know these truths about Tinubu, but we've let tribalism cloud our judgment. Tinubu is not a shining example of Yoruba leadership capability.

The excuse that things must get worse before they get better is misleading and deceptive. Once prices of commodities go up, they rarely come down.
