My comment: What Nigeria is currently experiencing is called cost push inflation. Meaning that the inflation is caused by various rising cost factors.. chief among them is the spike and daily raise in foreign exchange which in turn cause rise in energy cost..

to tackle the inflation, you tackle the forex first and then other factors such as insecurity, curb leakages etc..

I'm surprised to hear the Fin Minister put the cart before the horse.. and this is the wilful blindness I wrote about.. 🤔 They close their eyes to the right order of doing things deliberately that would give them the right result. He couldn't have been reasoning this way to have reached/attained such level in government.. someone said that is what power does to people

Policies that dont trickle down.

Policies that line the pocket of the rich.

Food can never be cheap with current petrol prices.

There is something called supply chain, which tinubu and the rest of his administration is refusing to acknowledge.

You cannot make the supply change expensive (with expensive fuel) and expect food to be cheap.

You are out of touch with implementation of your fiscal policies.

The government needs to tailor its policies around 3 key pivots...

1. Reduce major insecurity issues to the barest minimum.

2. Increase the purchasing power of the masses.

3. Reduce cost of living.

If the government has these three issues at the forefront of its target when making policies, then it would be able to design positively impactful policies.

But when the overriding concern is how to win next elections & loot, then policies to grow the masses cannot be properly designed.

It seems some of the state government are not ready to governor their citizens.

What will it caused them to start implementing good health care for the citizens by renovating and repairing the general hospitals across their respective LGA to a standard and accessible to the citizens.
The primary and secondary schools buildings are not left out.
Where are Agriculture is being practice - they should empower the farmers with fertilisers and modern equipment. The ministry of Agriculture are dominant in some states across the Nation.

U are dumb! Agriculture & food production is not an administrative and financial business, loans and grants that have become the bane of the sector is still been pursued and touted as solutions? Previous failures and incompetencies run rife ...... Yet he thinks that will yield anything?

The officers will feed fat and corrupt the entire scheme because they are not farmers and are hungry as well!

A&FP funds is supposed to go directly to the associations and various registered local and commercial farmers or the equipment given to them not cash!!

Minister of finance has nothing to do with Agric & food production, he is a putting square peg in round hole
