I believe Northern Nigerians were, or are rather still being used as tools for politics because of their numbers.

It is recorded that about 75% of Northerners are illiterates. Their leaders do not want them to know beyond their existing beggarly attitude and lifestyle.

What Tinubu can do...

It's hard but achievable and will take some time.

GEJ tried with the almajiri schools but was hated for it. The Northern elites booted him out because he wanted their eyes to be opened via education. So, instant education like the GEJ model will be resisted in North. Buhari didn't go to school, and it became president, they are going to use their line to further indoctrinate their people.

Now, here is my proposal;

Enough of these wheel-barrow empowerment, -madness
Turn the entire Northern region into a farming hub.
The illeterates in the North are compelled to farm, while government provides security.
We export farm produce, and receive dollar inflow, economy normalize

Now, since this generation of Northerns are already Largely illiterates and compelled to farm!
A legislature to enforce education for every new born from the upcoming generation.

Any out of school child, makes room for the parent to go to jail.
