The Federal Government has dispelled the rumours going about for some time now, that it intends banning Okada usage throughout the Country come 31st December, 2011. The Hon. Minister of Environment,Hadjia Hadiza Mailafia, told the State House Correspondents on Saturday, 3rd Dec. 2011, in Abuja, that the Fed. Govt. has never taken such decision. She even wondered about how the rumours got into circulation. She had assured all Okada Riders that the Fed Govt. had no intention of stopping them from earning their living.
