What Jesus Said About Selling Miracle Products, e.g. Water, Soap, Perfume etc.

Matthew 10:8 (KJV)

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

This is what Jesus said to those He gave power to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils.

Jesus said, "Freely Ye have Received, Freely Give".

God bless.

Clearly you don't understand the context of the Bible passage. This passage was clearly for the twelve sent on a limited mission to preach that the kingdom of heaven is near....The miracles also served as a way to convince the hearers.

Did they tell u that the power using was collected from Jesus
Do u know how much paid or sacrificed to get that power, if they have one...leave them make them do their business in peace.

God bless.

Remember what the word said in proverbs 13:17, a wicked messager falleth into mischief but a faithful ambassador is health.( KJV).
Who is a wicked messenger? The critics who find pleasure in criticised his servants, I am not saying is good to commercialised those stuff but leave judgement to God alone, whether these are fake or genuine men but they are all proclaiming the gospel so let them be.
those buying those stuffs are not complaining, let only Judge them, as for me oo I can't never said a word against any man of God let their conscious condemn or justify them

this matter dey tricky why because anointing oil in which d Bible prescribe is sold tho slightly higher than market price maybe with 300naira or there about
. Why is it Sold because church buys or place order in bulk for Goya oil from proceed of the ones sold .
Even native doctors charge moni to buy materials for sacrifice .

THE ISSUE I WANT CLARIFY IS ANOINTING WATER BIBLICAL..DID THE DISCIPLE NOT JESUS USE WATER OR PERFUME HEAL THE SICK.

WHY I MENTION DISCIPLES LIKE PETER,PAUL US because THEY USE OIL TO HEAL D SICK BUT I DNT KNW ABOUT WATER.AND IS IMPORTANT TO FOCUS MORE ON D DISCIPLES IN WHAT THEY USE TO HEAL PPLE BCIS DT WAT JESUS INSTRUCTED .because JESUS HIMSELF CAN USE ANYTHING TO HEAL because HUS D ANOINYING/DIVINE AUTHORITY WHILE DISCIPLE GOT D ANOINTING WITH INSTRUCTIONS

Yes, that’s because Jesus knew that most of them would sell the power.

You observed well. While selling anointing water is wrong and against the teachings of Jesus, I want to say that a pastor who does not entirely obey Christ's teachings is not necessarily dishing out fake miracles and fake prophecies or using other powers to perform miracles. There are men of God who indeed prophesy and have the gift of healing and truly delivers people in THE NAME but don't obey the teachings of Christ in its entirety.

I will like to illustrate from the teaching of Christ himself in the book of Matthew 7:22-23. Jesus said:

On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? ' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness. ' ESV

The truth is that those PROPHETS truly prophesied in His name and cast out demons in His name... The miracles were not fake. They did all those miracles in His name but couldn't make heaven because they were lawless.

Who is a lawless person? Or what is lawlessness? The dictionary says: lawlessness is a state of disorder due to a disregard of the law. Take note of DISREGARD. Those who disregard the law include the man of God who refuse to obey the law of giving out freely what they have freely received. It include the man receiving money for praying healing upon people. Peace.

jesusjnr2020... Read my observation above.

So it doesn't matter how common the erroneous practice of selling of the so-called "miracle products" becomes, it can never change the fact that it is clearly wrong and goes against Christ teachings.

There is no place in the Bible any disciple of Jesus charged anyone any amount for miracles despite doing many notable miracles.

Even the person that offered money to receive such power to do such miracles received a very strong rebuke from Peter to prove how wrong such a practice was.

Please pay attention to the bolded below:

Acts 8:18-24 (KJV)

And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

That's a perfect illustration of a true disciple of Christ.

They know and keep His commandments.

God bless.
