Lament? When did Edo state become Malta?

NNPC supplies crude to our refinery in Malta. Edo state should take note, and stop disturbing our peace.

Why do I keep thinking that Tinubu is actually fighting the oil cabal? He has used his billionaire friends Dangote and Tony to expose nnpc, now Edo refinery has "soro soke" too. Why do people think they are fighting Tinubu and it is not Tinubu that is using them to fight the oil thieves? Just my thoughts!
Hmm. Anything is possible, I guess.

There are two modular refineries in Edo State. After they were completed, it took them TWO YEARS to receive their first drop of crude oil. Now, they're still fact that problem. They're not big newsmaking ventures like the Dangote Refinery, but those who follow the news closely know about them.

NNPC will always fail to supply crude to local refineries for Naira because they do not care about the survival of the people , even the government want the USD at the expense of the citizens , we must learn to prioritize the interest of the nation before our selfish interest, or else Nigerians will continue to suffer shege Pro Max

Same NNPC want to be in charge of sales of Dangote refinery fuel so they can make money, NNPC have 3 refineries they can produce and sell fuel to make money from, take eyes off dangote fuel , beside you didn’t interfere with sales of his cement , why fuel?

The corrupt oil cabal must fall

The case of Nigeria is that of a subsistent farmer, who sold out his cassava farm and left the children to cry of hunger while looking at their farm being pillaged by those who bought the farm.

What did their father do with the money he sold the farm ? No one knows, seems he carried ashawo with it.

The existence of the said refinery isn't the problem. The problem is that we have been told up until now that there is no working refinery in Nigeria. To now hear that this refinery has instead been waiting for crude supplies since 2022, even after it was announced earlier in the year that it had been supplied crude is what leaves me stumped. There is a seriously huge difference between it doesn't work at all and it works but has not received any feedstock for over 2 years. You get? 😫 😫 😫 😫

I guess the claim of alleged foreign refinery/modular plant may be true afterall. It may not be in Malta but surely there seems to be conspiracy by IOC not to stock the locals to the advantage of foreign refiners and the nation's independent marketers. Worse still, this may even be a sabotage in favour of the subsidy beneficiaries.

Everybody claiming holier than thou now and castigating NNpc. Give these local refineries permission now and you would be surprised fuel price would triple instead of decreasing. Nigerian businesses are always seeking to negatively exploit the masses. Ask Dangote to explain what positive impact he has had on the price of cement after encouraging him to invest. At the end of the day he has formed a cabal with other cement manufacturers. Same will happen to oil is govt hands off. Tinubu needs to protect the masses from these devourers .

Re: Edo Refinery Laments NNPCl’s Failure To Supply Crude Oil For Production by PHAYOL81: 11:27pm On Aug 11, 2024
Moblux:
One barrel of crude oil produces approximately 159 liters. From this, about 45% is converted into gasoline (PMS) and around 30% into diesel (AGO) .
Calculating for 1,000 barrels:
Total liters:
1,000 ×159
=159,000
1,000×159=159,000 liters
Gasoline (PMS):
159,000×0.45≈71,550
159,000×0.45≈71,550 liters per day

Diesel (AGO):
159,000×0.30≈47,700
159,000×0.30≈47,700 liters
Thus, from 1,000 barrels of crude oil, approximately 71,550 liters of PMS and 47,700 liters of AGO can be produced daily.

GO find out, a barrel of crude oil produces up to 170 litres after refined. The difference between the 159 litres (the original volume in a barrel)and the 170 litres (after refined) is gotten as a result of added chemical solution during refining processes and the excess is classified as REFINERY GAINS.

Why can't this NNPCL man be remove a competent person put there. Imagine a house want to export or is exporting garri but this same house lack or is scarce of garri to feed the children. Why can't this our product be consume by us in large quantity before they talk of exporting. These exporting ideas is not helping us at all.

Slowly the truth is coming out .

1. Alot of these local refineries are not really faulty the way NNPC had led the public to believe .

2. NNPC makes billions monthly from phantom importation of fuel because they keep increasing Tor so clwd amount they import on paper and using to loot. Ask yourselves as the price of fuel increases how come our consumption has also been increasing when less and less people are driving or even buying fuel for generators.

3. NNPC Has been running a criminal enterprise and ensurimg fuel isn not refined locally so that they continue importing fuel.

4. This is why Atiku said first thing he would do is sell off NNPC but you all attacked him. Has he not been vindicated since ?

Atiku is coming

I actually had to bold that particular number 4 Because you nailed it ..
I don't expect Tinubu to dissolve this nnpc or remove kyari soon..

How I wished Atiku doesn't make this known in his Agenda then , he might have won the election...

The best solution to all of this madness. But the truthful side of the agenda is , Atiku will buy it ...

it is old news. Obaseki has complained endlessly. Since over 2 years now. Such does not make FP on Nairaland.

It would make PDP/Obaseki look good.

If a state has an opposition governor in 9ja, that's what happens.

Old news kobo.

Whenever Obaseki complained about no crude, people never read his message. They just start saying/writing he's ugly, a traitor, Edo has bad roads, hail WIKE AND OSHIOMHOLE and unrelated maters etc. Being not part of APC.

Even the news we get to hear is first politically filtered. As as far as I know, Edo has two modular refineries. Some other states were waiting to observe Edo refinery experience first. I guess this would put them off now.

You can't expect Otedola, Adenuga or Ibeto to build a $5 billion refinery now after seeing Dangote's $20 billion dollar experience.

What has Obi said about this problem? ... how can he not be outspoken about this sabotage of the economy and economic development? This is beyond party or politics... the window to development is being kept shut by the cabal and Obi is silent but loud on trivial matters. Tinubu needs to dissolve that agency that has the industry in a choke hold ... but does he have the balls to do so?

1. Obaseki and all the others you mentioned are political touts whose only credit in life is defrauding Nigerians in politics — they are lacking in the intelligence department, — so even me I no dey pay them much attention. undecided

2. The news isn't the problem since most of us get our news, not from direct media but rather from social media. So, saying even the workers for the place have not reached Nigerians with this particular news is shocking. I think a lot of Nigerians saw the social media video of the guy who took photos of Dangote's refinery back in December claiming no work dey at that point in time. We have been told for so long that none of the refineries were working, and then to read that one has been working since 2022 but lacked feedstock just dey unbelievable! undecided
