what I don't get is, the tax law of just 2019 came to effect, but minimum wage don't come to effect.

🤣🤣🤣 I hope we won't be harsh with FG when they start feeding us with excuses too.I always tell my friend no doubt Tinubu f*uck up in a way but working with federal govt is still the best as regards job security,pay and every goddamn entitlement.
Take for example guys under ministry of health are now collecting accoutrement allowances of 25k quarterly oo, 35k hazard allowance, 25% salary increment , now minimum wage, they also got 6months of palliative then, etc.I don't know of any state that can match the federal govt in all I listed above despite all the money states like Lagos, delta, bayelsa , akwa ibom get every month from the FAAC.
If u are to talk about excuse all the governors will whine you with excuse upon excuse as to why things are not working.

Give the LGs their own money to use in paying their own salaries and do other things.

In fact, the list is as recent as June, and that was when the new minimum wage was approved and 4 SE states still pay that, bar Ebonyi

I am one of the civil servants in Abia State. Those saying that Otti is paying 18k minimum wage are PDP and APC miscreants that want to bring Ottis name down. We are here and we know how much we are being paid. Everybody should rest.

Actually it is #20,500.. He said it himself in one of his interviews early this year.
He said the government book shows #30,000, but the NLC complained that workers are earning #20,500.
The governor promised to look into it and till now no update on that.
But using new tax law on old minimum wage is a wicked act.

Otti is paying N18K yet is people did not see any need to protest in the south east. Now he has even gone further to deduct from what he was paying.
