All three fuels, CNG, LPG, and petrol, are flammable, but with varying degrees of flammability. Here's a brief comparison:

CNG (Compressed Natural Gas): It has a narrow flammability range (5-15% in air) and is lighter than air, making it less likely to ignite and accumulate in dangerous concentrations compared to gasoline.

LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas): It's also known as cooking gas. It's heavier than air and can pool in low-lying areas, increasing the risk of fire or explosion if ignited.

Petrol (Gasoline): It has a wider flammability range than CNG and LPG, making it more prone to igniting.

Which even means CNG is safer than petroleum

Stop lieing to people. Which advanced society used CNG for public transportation? Name one please.

Why not to buy CNG?
It produces fewer emissions, can save drivers money on fuel costs and can improve energy security. However, there are some disadvantages to using CNG as a vehicle fuel, including limited range, limited fueling infrastructure, high upfront costs, and safety concerns.

Most observers will agree that Nigeria cannot be described as an advanced country right now, so stop comparing apples with oranges.
After all, M-PESA - which is Africa's most successful mobile money service - does not have anything comparable to it in most advanced countries either. Yet we know this is a technological innovation whoch owes its origins to a parking payment solution originally developed in Norway, where it was never adopted.

According to the latest data made available by the National Bureau for Statistics (2018) there were a total of 11.8 million vehicles in Nigeria. Of this number, 39% (4.6 million) were privately owned, 56% (6.7 million) were commercial vehicles, 1.1% (135,000) were government vehicles, and 0.4% (5,834) were owned by diplomats.

Tata Motors has launched the CNG version of the Altroz, its third model with clean gas technology, at a starting price of Rs 7.55 lakh. With a new CNG technology, the Altroz CNG promises to solve one of the biggest cons - the boot space. But is that enough to make Altroz a practical choice? Watch our first drive review.

The caveat is if properly maintained. How many Nigerians do yearly car inspection? For mass transit system where the operators are known and with very strict yearly or twice yearly inspections it is OK but for everyone else it is not advisable. The benefit for personal car would only be marginal else most major car companies would have already designed cng engines just like diesel
