When did they denied it, national assembly said it's necessary and approved. Money for minimum wage is different from that for jet. Governance must crash because you wanted $100M as minimum wage? Democracy is expensive and we all know that, even if it's military,they will still spend in another way or complete embezzlement.
The issue is, why will you terminate a contract signed with a foreigner without due process and creating problems. It's good for us to learn as a country. Governments are guilty of termination of contracts anyhow signed by predecessor. This is a big blow to do things right.

That is about N120 billion to be paid by Ogun State government.

Where will the State government find that kind of money. The federal government will have to step in if it wants to get these aircrafts back.

One thing I know is most Nigerians have no respect for contract. You reach agreement with them, they short change you. If you protest, they'll tell you to do your worst

I agree with you about the irresponsible government we have towards contract.
But the issue is more than that.

Most cancellations are due to dispute over informal kickback payment or the need
to re-award the contract to a favored crony.

It is the same reason why Dangote left Ogun for Lagos.
Unfortunately, the state government can't come out to state its own side because
it will be incriminating itself.

But I doubt the Chinese firm deserved the $70 million dollar as they definitely did not invest
that amount before contract termination.
The ignorantly arrogant government probably didn't show up for the hearing and lost by default.

How can a sovereign nation enter agreements under a foriegn court ?

It is not a foreign court issue. It is a UN agreement that Nigeria is signatory to. If you go into business with a foreign country and they use state power to defraud you, invoke the arbitration award in the agreement at the UN or go and get damage awards from your own country and have UN recognize it.
If they recognize it, you can use it to ask any UN country legal system to order seizure of foreign assets of that country within their jurisdiction as long as they are not under active diplomatic occupation (most UN countries signed the agreement).

It's is a shame on Tinubu because he's the current president and he's the one who ordered A330. He was expecting it to be delivered this year. The other jets were put on sale by his administration and they were seized. It's also a shame to the Nigerian people.
