LegendHero:A project like doing interlocking road. Is interlocking road, a road that can last? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://lagosislandlg.lg.gov.ng/moshalashi-street-has-been-completed-with-interlock-stones/%23:~:text%3DPrince%2520Adetoyese%2520Tijani%2520Olusi%252C%2520has,improve%2520its%2520appearance%2520and%2520functionality.&ved=2ahUKEwij7O-0oveHAxXjT0EAHe5RHM4QFnoECCQQBQ&usg=AOvVaw0WUPCzDyXsZRALURXnpIs9 This is why I some blame the brain of some of you that often compare the administration of Lagos to other states. Lagos earn big in everything, aside the fat IGR to the state and LGA. A state like Anambra doesn't earn 1/3 of what is accrue to Lagos State but some people doesn't apply Common sense. If not wastefulness, Lagos by now should have been on the same strata with Dubai. It never took Dubai 15 years for her development but over 25 years now, Lagos is still grasping for breathe. |

henlooma80:After how many years. Since 1999 down to 2023, count and reflect. 24 years and we are still singing if. The corruption that is been perpetrated in that enclave will.only take decade of serious governance to undo them. Trillions have gone than the drain because of political patronage relegated in favour of mediocrity and praise singing. |

damkin24:Let me give you a load down history. For Calabar: "After the chiefs of Duke Town accepted British protection in 1884, the town, which was called Old Calabar until 1904, served as capital of the Oil Rivers Protectorate (1885–93), the Niger Coast Protectorate (1893–1900), and Southern Nigeria (1900–06) until the British administrative headquarters were moved to Lagos". Calabar has never been capital of Nigeria but capital of the Southern Protectorate of Nigeria, Zungeru and Kaduna were capitals of the Northern Protectorate. For Lagos: Lagos became the capital of Nigeria since when the southern protectorate was joined with northern protectorate in 1914 and it became so till 1960 when Nigeria gained independence till it was relocated to Abuja in 1976. For over 60 years Lagos was the capital of Nigeria put together. Note for emphasis, Calabar has never been Nigeria capital but only southern protectorate capital. Now, can you give the people other news, since some of you doesn't want to hear that Lagos was the capital of Nigeria and it was heavily invested in by both the whites and the blacks that have had opportunity of administering Nigeria. 2 Likes |

FreeStuffsNG:Local government administration is the same everywhere my brother. Say what you know. Even the state civil serving are the same. They hardly go to work on regular routine as stipulated. Some go once in a week. Some two times in a month. Some don't even go than once in three months. |

They are like that, they can talk about issues they no nothing about but when you question them to add more bites to their accusation they deflate like worn out tyre. FreeStuffNG, a challenge has been thrown to you. You started it, complete what you started, since you've seen the administration of local government in many states and you've compared it with that of Lagos. xcolanto: First ask how much the governors gave them to pay salaries and do projects. Only Lagos gives the money to them without touching because Tinubu Thier grand father believes in grassroot. Other governors appoint caretaker and used the money. I believed in LG autonomy for sustainable development |
