Kukutenla:

Seems you fail to realise that these judgements are being given against Nigeria because
1. Foreign investors do not trust our legal system to get the right redress due to how they see it has been bastardised by APC
2. APC has always been incompetent in handling international arbitration matters. This is just another case
3. APC is a disastrous calamity on the nation

You have no clue what you're saying. Arbitration clauses are standard in bilateral agreements involving a State party. So APC was in power in 2010 when the initial agreement was made right? Mention one agreement signed under APC that is currently the subject of arbitration. It is PDP with their series of fraudulent deals that have put the country into this arbitration mess. If anything at all, it took APC to rescue Nigeria from the PID scam Jonathan plunged us into and you know it. Have some integrity for once.

The IGR state has carried their gbese mentality to affect Nigeria.

If those jets are seized , ogun state federal allocations should be withheld until it has covered the cost of the jets.

I don't know who helped the Chinese firm file the suit and who the judges were, but the case is erroneous when they say it's "ZHONGSHAN FUCHENG VS NIGERIA"... It's supposed to be ZHONGSHAN FUCHENG VS OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT.

The FG has nothing to do with this... The lawyers and judges must not have done their due diligence on this case. Once again, not everything oyinbo does makes sense...
The agreement between Zhongshan and Ogun state is based on bilateral agreement between China and Nigeria

This is how Buhari was dilly dallying about the PI and D and Eni-Shell OPL 124 case till they had grave economic consequences for Nigeria. They kept exporting their incompency to the world.

SO, it's no longer federal government NOt Tulumbu/Buhari again?

lmao, incompetence they worry all of una, go & pay chinco their money jare, or U think technicalities go save "FG" like their corrupt judges usually do in Nigeria

Na to lien Ogun State monthly allocation. No problem for this one.

Lately, Ogun has been receiving one of the least allocations from the FG possibly due to loan servicing. Can the state afford another hit on the allocation?
The problem should have been avoided ab initio.

By the time the Chinese loans are due, Nigerians will have to work to pay the Chinese.

Imagine the amount of loans Buhari borrowed from China.
If the National Assembly think for the future generations, they should stop any borrowing from China. Let them borrow from World Bank or other internal banks, but not China

Is this a new scamming strategy? In which some government officials bring fake investors and then sign some kangaroo agreement and later breach it, then run to foreign court to get order to take over assets if the country? Just like the case of was it malabu? I have never trusted Nigerian leaders for once. Expect more of these in years to come. All your governors signing bilateral agreement here and there are examples of these. Very unfortunate human beings. In a sanner country, amosun and his team would have been arrested and all their assets seized to pay back all what they backed out from. Very embarrassing to see something like this every time.

You see that Amosun and his cabinet especially should be hanged.

All the projects in their tenure is a mess, and only held Ogun State resources and her people to ransom.

Re: US Court Affirms Chinese Firm’s $70m Arbitration Award Against Nigeria by ARISHEM: 8:21am On Aug 16
Innocent people are the ones suffering bad leadership in this country. You made contract with a Chinese firm to construct free trade zone after which the Chinese firm only construct just a perimeter fence that can be done with just a few millions of naira. And you went ahead to terminate the contract without weighing the advantages against the disadvantages of the contract termination.
Yet you carelessly did not do follow up on all cases when the Chinese took you to court by foolishly lying down in your home country beating chest and shouting that the Chinese are not saying the truth. Now that our resources are at risk the government are now on their toes.
Ogun state does not deserve any federal allocation for 3 years if we lose this case

This APC is a disaster.

You lot are fond of pretending not to understand issues. Has anyone said the current government shouldnt take action to defend the nation given the current situation? Are they not already doing it? We are saying the person who caused the mess is easily identifiable but out of hypocrisy you would meander as much as possible to avoid blaming him.

U are acting like the new state government just came in today or that since they came in they were not aware of the beach in the agreement done by the past government and the implications?

why didn't they do anything since to resolve it and why wait until a courts outside our shores take a decision in it b4 we react? This is not the 1st time it's happening. why can't we deal with the issue completely and move on?
