‘Should we continue with tribal politics of division?’ —Dr. Sam Anya Media Directorate reacts

In recent times and climes, one could wonder how did the persona of Dr. Sam Anya endear himself to the populace particularly the non-indigene community in rivers state and south south Nigeria; this came as no small feat as the tireless and energetic “Chief Sammy” has in no small measure stood out for the non indigenous community through various means in philanthropy, human capital development and a host of others too numerous to mention. Can one measure up these gestures? The answer absolutely is NO! But however, the attention of the media directorate of Dr. Samuel Anya has been drawn to an opinion expressed but wrongly conveyed by one “Alh. Musa Saidu” and we wish to buttress facts about that erroneous publication and of course set records straight. In 2020, Dr. Anya was seen in various nooks and crannies of the Niger delta especially rivers state ensuring the safe distribution of food palliatives he personally made available to non citizens of the region with costs running into millions of naira albeit, he carried out these activities even in the heat of the pandemic risking his own health. Should we talk about all of his philanthropic contributions? Or even the uncountable human capacity development he has made available to people even within the rank and file of the Arewa consultative forum? For sure, the list would remain endless. “Alhaji Musa Saidu” and his notorious ‘political’ sponsors should understand that Dr. Sam Anya is one who is JUST NOT popular in the non-indigene community but a man who has cut his teeth and knows his onions in piloting the affairs of non indigenous people selflessly.
On this note, we are calling on the National body of the Arewa Consultative Forum to as a matter of urgency call “Musa Saidu” who we perceive as being an alien and an imposter in the apex northern organization to order and ensure he desists from making inflammatory and inciting statements with the nomenclature of Arewa Consultative Forum’ Rivers state chapter; the Governor in his wisdom deemed it feat to appoint Dr. Anya who himself is loved by not just all and sundry but also verifiably accepted by the Hausa community resident in rivers state.
Summarily, “Musa Saidu” should understand that Dr. Sam Anya the honorable commissioner for special duties remains the undisputed number 1 citizen of the non indigene community in rivers state but also undistracted in his bid to carrying out the task of ensuring a safe environment for non indigenous people residing in rivers state devoid of tribe and political affiliation.
