I'm not sure. But I'm sure they have an overgrown toddler sitting in government office.
No wonder because I never thought there’s a governor in that state with the level of underdevelopment in the state.

All State Independent Electoral Commissions should be abolished as they are incapable of conducting free and fair elections in their respective states. INEC is better positioned to handle local government elections without bias. The chairmen of these state commissions are appointees of the governors, making them mere cronies. There is no way Hashim, as a former PDP member, would not manipulate the process in favor of the PDP in Osun State. This is an anomaly that the people of Osun should never allow to continue, and the same applies to other states. Either INEC conducts the local government elections, or another truly independent body, free from the influence of state governors, should be allowed to do so.

Abioye was a member of Adeleke's legal team up to the Supreme Court, he was rewarded with an SA to Legal Matters to the Gov.

He said he had resigned last year

PDP will sweep all the seats, it's the new normal amongst Govs....only El-Rufai did manage to set a pace in that aspect.

PDP cannot sweep the election, even if Davido Adeleke is made the Chairman of the electoral commission

The State REC recently appointed by Tinubulation is an APC member.

So na the same thing.

BluntCrazeMan:
The current chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) was a member of PDP in 2023

Here below is an excerpt from The Punch Newspaper...

..
..
BUT THEN....,,
Evidence from 2023 showed that the same Hashim Abioye actually contested in 2023 to become a member of the house of assemblies in Osun State under PDP.

THIS CLEARLY SHOWS THAT THE OSUN STATE INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSION IS NOT INDEPENDENT.. IT IS THERE FOR PDP.

You will not see Obi and his bandwagons to condemn this because they're same of the same. PDP = LP

I agree with you. They will somehow be silent on this thread. Same way Apc idiots are silent about Ganduje who stuffed dollars and now has his documents mysteriously missing from the court.
If you look closely you’ll see that only fools support Apc, pdp or Lp as they are all the same bunch of corrupt parties with gullible supporters who are suffering while the elite are enjoying.

Obi didn't believes in grassroot development, he tot only him know how to govern hence he didn't conduct LG election for 7 years+ in Anambra.
Am so confident the LG election will be transferred to INEC asap. As long as Tinubu wants it and it's good, it's a don deal in national assembly.

Why can't some politicians at least pretend to be democratically fair. You didn't see a non-political ally to appoint as Electoral chairman, it is another politician like yourself. Common sense is just not applied here.

That is why we should all join hands to pressure the National Assembly to make law to remove the powers to conduct LGA elections from the State and transfer it to an independent national body that is not answerable to Governors.

It's not a National Assembly problem, it's a constitutional problem.

What it means is that the NASS cannot do it all alone, they must need the assent of 24 States Houses of Assembly, and you know these Assemblys re controlled by the Govs.

That's where the problem lies.

INEC should be the body to conduct this Local Government Election

That's the truth

Last local government election in Oyo state, no single ballot box was seen at any polling unit and results were written in a room
