Women across different communities in Imo State were treated to a pleasant surprise as Dr. Matthew Chima Amadi, Mazi Gburugburu 1, graced various August meeting celebrations across the state between Thursday 15th and Saturday 17th August.

An avid believer in the progressive contributions of women to society development, Dr. Amadi first graced the August Meeting of Umuohiagu Autonomous Community on Thursday 15th August, where he congratulated the women on a successful August meeting, and charged them to continue being the pillars of the community that they were. He also redeemed a 2 million Naira pledge he made to them earlier, amidst jubilation from the assembled women.

The same day, Dr. Amadi was present at the August Meeting of the women of Imerienwe Autonomous Community, where he also supported the events of the day with a cash donation of 5 million Naira. The women of the community were elated at his presence, and in turn presented the award of "Okpata Ozuo Oha 1 of Ngor-Okpala" to him at the event.

Gburugburu continued his august visits on Saturday 17th August, as he attended the August Meeting of the Catholic Women Organization in Ahiara Diocese at the Mater Eclesiae Cathedral, Ahiara. At the event, he thanked the women for their efforts that sometimes were not fully appreciated, and expressed his commitment to making sure the voices of women were always heard in Imo State.

On his way to a relative's burial at Umuokpo Emeabiam, Gburugburu got down from his car at a local bridge, and had a hearty conversation with a woman passing by, eventually also helping her with 100 thousand Naira. This particular incident showed his commitment to hearing the voices of women in Imo State, not just as a group but one by one, at the point of their personal needs.

Subsequently, Dr. Amadi also made it to the August Meeting of the women in Irete Community, where he interacted with the gathered women as is his wont, thanked them for their thankless roles as women in the society, and pledged 5 million Naira to the women in the community.

In all, these visits showed a man who was not content with viewing the women of Imo State from a distance, but prioritized getting close to them and hearing about their needs in person, while also trying his best to solve those needs.

What sort of dressing is that? That is not an Igbo native wear- Babariga with Okpu red.
And most importantly, why cant he hold his umbrella with his hand? Small things like this is a BIG sign that shows someone who cannot be responsible in the smallest things.
