The Federal Polytechnic located in the town of Ilaro, headquarters of Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, has developed a solar-charged electric automated tricycle. Rector of the institution, Dr Mukail Aremu Akinde, announced this on Friday 23 August 2024 during a visit by the Governing Council of the school and the National Automotive Design and Development Council to inspect the newly developed electric tricycle at the innovation centre of the school.
