He/she is not far from the truth.

To cook a standard pot of stew nowadays, you go spend at least 12-15k.

Preferably all of them particularly the protein, at the same time.

Fish stew.

I wasn't going to put this (the challenge is mainly between beef and chicken), but I didn't want to discriminate, plus I'm aware that some people weirdly prefer fish stew. cheesy

There's nothing about preferring fish to chicken or beef stew!

Hello my foodie people.
I've come again with another delicious food topic. cheesy

Okay. I was munching on some delicious stewed beef the other day, and I was like mmm! How delicious!, then I told person that was with me that beef stew is tastier than chicken stew, and that chicken stew is quite overrated, she disagreed and said one is bound to quickly get tired of beef stew, that it's chicken stew all the way.
I did not agree with her.

So, I want you people to help me settle this about which is the most preferred. cheesy

Which of these Nigerian stews would you prefer with your white rice?
Fish stew, beef stew, or chicken stew?

Kindly hit like on the one you would first go for.

Beef
Fish
Chicken

In the above order grin

Honestly it depends...

Sometimes beef, at times chicken and other times it's fish.

I am not very rigid when it comes to food. I just let the mood direct.

Right now I don't even want to perceive any chicken aroma because I had Alot lately. Other times it's beef of fish I don't want to have anything to do with.

It just depends on mood.

Right now beef has been my succour. It may change anytime!

You sound like a girl with this your mood talk

Beer? undecided

Yes. Beer.

You can even use Stout.

I’ve made a stew before with just stout.

It was AMAZING.

The key to cooking with alcohol is to ensure it cooks down well, for at least 15 mins, so that you don’t taste the fresh alchohol flavour.

It will end up with a deep, rich taste that will compliment your added spices and onions, meat, stock cubes, pepper etc.

As in, you use beer to cook stew... Thats a first for me

If I may ask, does it get one drunk the same way using weed to cook beans makes one high?

The challenge was between beef and chicken, but then, I should've broadened it.

None. Not a fan of white rice. Brown or Ofada rice better.

I would have liked to lick the fish stew but no pumpkin or other green leaves it in.

I pass.

People don’t typically cook stew itself with ugu. Steamed veggies as a side can be ugu-laced, otherwise it’s vegetable sauce/Igbonised efo (riro), not stew as we normally know it.

To answer the question: try a combination of goose, ogazi (guinea-fowl) and torotoro (na turkey, na).
