Organizers of the #EndBadGovernance protests have issued a 17-point ultimatum to the Federal Government FG ahead of their planned demonstrations on October 1, 2024.

The demands include the immediate and unconditional release of detained protesters, the unfreezing of their assets, and compensation for the distress and hardships endured during peaceful demonstrations.

The movement also calls for the removal and prosecution of government officials accused of suppressing protests and violating human rights.

One of the organizers, Omoyele Sowore, released a list on Tuesday that seeks the scrapping of the 1999 Constitution, its replacement with a people-made constitution, and the restructuring of Nigeria to accommodate its diversity.

Other demands include: “Pay Nigerian workers a minimum wage of no less than N250,000 monthly.

“Invest heavily in education and provide Nigerian students with grants, not loans. Aggressively pursue free and compulsory education for children across Nigeria.

“Release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally and demilitarize the South-East. All #ENDSARS and political detainees must also be released and compensated, among other demands.”

All well meaning Nigerians have to leave whatever they are doing and participate in the protest. The hardship bites everyone in one way or the other.

For starters, we need a progress report of this government’s eight point agenda.

1. food security;
2. poverty eradication;
3. growth,
4. job creation;
5. access to capital;
6. inclusion;
7. rule of law; and
8. fighting corruption

COMRADES, let's just pray that we see 2027 in good health so that we chase this Nigeria's Idi Amin from Aso Rock to his village
