An employee of the Nigeria Aviation Handling
Company, Auwal Dankode, has been hailed after
returning $10,000 found in a plane.

Dankode, a worker at Malam Aminu Kano
International Airport in Kano, found $10,000 while cleaning the aircraft.

Zagazola Makaman, a security analyst and
counter-insurgency expert, wrote on X that
Dankode reported the money he found to the
airline company’s manager, initiating a search for the rightful owner.

Zagazola added that as investigations continue
to identify the owner of the lost money, “Auwal’s
actions serve as a shining example of the
positive impact that even small acts of kindness
can have.”

The post read, “This boy, Named Auwal Ahmed
Dankode, an employee of Nigeria Aviation
Handling Company (NAHCO), found $10,000—
approximately N16m—Inside a plane while
cleaning it. “Upon discovering the money, Auwal immediately

reported it to the airline company’s manager to
initiate the search for the rightful owner. The
incident took place at Malam Aminu Kano
International Airport. Auwal, originally from Kode
in Kano State, is known for his strong fear of God and honesty.”

A patriotic Nigerian. Kudos to him and other heroes like him.

Meanwhile, Its an act of surprise for me to know Auwal the founder of this10k dollars is from Kano state. The same Kano state where the elderstateman turned Governor Ganduje pocketed 5k dollars in his Babanriga even while CCTV camera were all over him and later coined the name "Gandollar" for himself

Auwal here has really dealt a heavy uppercut to Gandollar with this single act of Honesty and patriotism.........I hope the News get to Gandollar

Where would they see the rightful owner from the passengers that boarded the plane? I hope the real owner shows up if not snake will swallow the money.

Just last Sunday,three women boarded my keke and as they were alighting,one of Dem forgot her android phone at the seat she sat in the Keke...I immediately called her back and handed over her phone back to her.....she greeted me and I left....

Funny thing is that, there's even a Greater kind of inner joy one find himself when he's doing a good thing that people will later praise him for....

I once saw 200k in a Keke last year while a co-Passenger dropped off, I didn't see it on time until he left and I was the only passenger left in the Keke, when I spotted it, the owner had left. I had to inform the Keke driver, we searched for him, traced him for days before we found him. He was in pains when he discovered he lost his money, but was extremely happy when I handed it over to him. That money was his House-Rent. He prayed for me, gave me 20k but I rejected it cos I knew he wasn't having enough. I wasn't even having a dime on me that day. Honesty is the Best policy
