How Best Do I Present A Gift With Proof Of Payment? by Elegantspiker(m): 8:28pm On Aug 30 |
I intend to buy a time piece (watch) and give to someone as gift. When buying, should I buy with my name on the invoice or the intended receiver's name? Should the invoice be enclosed in the watch's box before delivering? |

Candidlady:One always identifies Nigerian comments even when it's on international discussion spaces. Either denigrating, unintelligent or unnecessary. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Elegantspiker: Get the gift with the recipients name on the invoice and the invoice should be enclosed in the box before delivery ... I think it's better that way ... 1 Like 1 Share |

Fahvvy:Exactly my thought. But if I don't do things absolutely right, there is this feel I get that's disturbing. Like, what do I do where signature is required? |

Elegantspiker: Use your signature, then underneath your signature you could write (F): The person's name ... I use the above for official documents when I'm signing in someone's stead (like my boss), I believe this could be applied here ... But whatever you decide is fine... I believe the individual will appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the gift and not necessarily focus on the nitty gritty's (such as this) ... |

Elegantspiker: You buy it with your name. You can enclose the receipt in the box..its more of a proof of purchase or receipt...it won't seem like bragging |

Fahvvy:This was my understanding before I became confused later on. You just made me rethink that this is even the surest thing to do anyway. 1 Like |

Cesarr1:Bros, you don't get it. Just do a little assessment of international online spaces and observe how people comment on issues. Like when Mark Zuckerberg visited Nigeria. He posted on his Facebook handle. Millions of comments were flowing, then one white guy posted along that "like my post for just no reason, it has always been my desire to get the highest number of likes on Facebook which I don't..." Within 20 mins, dude got about 2000 likes. By the end of that day the likes were 20,000+. Then I did an experiment to prove to someone like you then. I copied the guy's post and posted on my timeline. Bros, I only got I insults and taunts. Things like, crying emoji, lol, mockery ("so you na like be your problem" etc. We don't speak constructively. |
