The Nigeria Police have declared wanted a British national, Andrew Wynne accused of attempting to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over alleged sponsorship of the EndBadgovernance protests which rocked the country from August 1st to 10th, 2024, News360 Nigeria reports.

According to the Nigerian Police Authority, “Since the commencement of investigations, Andrew Wynne has fled the country. He and one of his local coordinators, one Lucky Ehis Obiyan have accordingly been declared wanted and global hunting for them has commenced in connection with this investigation”.

The above statement was made by the Nigerian Police Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyuwa Adejobi on Monday in reaction to the ongoing investigation of the EndBadgovernance protesters.

He said: “Following extensive intelligence gathering and collaboration with other security agencies, nine suspects have been apprehended, who received substantial financial backing from foreign sources to destabilize the country.

“Preliminary findings suggest they orchestrated and funded violent protests, disseminated false information, and engaged in other unlawful activities to create anarchy and justify their illegal plot to overthrow the democratically elected government.

“Investigations have identified a foreign mercenary, Andrew Wynne (also known as Andrew Povich or Drew Povey), a British national, who built a network of sleeper cells to topple the government and plunge the nation into chaos.

“He rented a space at Labour House, Abuja, for an ‘Iva Valley Bookshop’ and established ‘STARS of Nations Schools’ as a cover for his subversive activities.

“Documentary evidence and confessions revealed that Andrew Wynne issued directives, monitored progress, and provided finance and operational guidance to achieve unconstitutional regime change in Nigeria.

“He mobilized and deployed several billions of naira to his Nigerian collaborators, urging them to mobilize the public to violently storm police facilities and military barracks, anticipating a bloodbath that would instigate international condemnation of the Nigerian government.

“These acts are in clear violation of the Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2011 and other relevant laws.

“Since the commencement of investigations, Andrew Wynne has fled the country. He and one of his local coordinators, one Lucky Ehis Obiyan have accordingly been declared wanted and global hunting for them has commenced in connection with this investigation.

“The ten other suspects already apprehended have been arraigned before a competent court of law on Monday, September 2, 2024, for Criminal Conspiracy, Terrorism Financing, Treasonable Felony, Subversion, and Cybercrime.

“They include; Angel Love Innocent (Female), Opaluwa Eleojo Simeon, Michael Tobitoba Adaramoye aka Leni, Suleiman Yakubu, Buhari Lawal, Mosiu Sadiq, Abayomi Adeyemi, Abdulsalam Zubairu (M), Nuradeen Hamis, and Bashir Bello.

“These acts are in clear violation of the Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2011 and other relevant laws

“Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, while condemning the activities of the group, has since activated the INTERPOL tools and other global policing networks to support ongoing domestic investigations aimed at locating and apprehending the suspects at large.

“The IGP assures the general public that the Force will leave no stone unturned in dealing with and bringing to deserved justice, any individual or group threatening our national security and peace or promoting any movement with the motive of truncating our democratic government through unconstitutional means.

“We recognize and remain committed to protecting citizens’ constitutionally guaranteed fundamental and democratic rights to peaceful assembly and free expression.

“However, we advise citizens to be wary of subversive elements who weaponize and commercialize protests for personal financial and ideological benefits”.

The sponsors of endbadgovernment protests are hunger, insecurity and hardships. Unfortunately, they're still dealing with Nigerians.

Anything to protect the fascist state while your men in uniform are languishing in hunger and debt. Everybody is suddenly getting wanted or labelled treasonous, while bandits are gradually annexing the north.
Catch Yahaya Bello first, you clodpoles.

The NPF is becoming even more partisan than Oshiomole

The farther the people are from the truth, the more honest people get persecuted and hated. Nigeria is on the verge of a cataclysmic implosion.
We can keep pretending while using bigotry as a panacea, or I would say, as an opiate to starvation, increasing despondency, insecurity and human rights abuses.

Nonsense

I'm highly disappointed in Tinubu's government, not one thing he's getting right.

His mission is turning everybody to beggers but God pass him.

How on earth will ordinary cefa will be more valuable than the naira that ordinary Niger, Benin Republic and other countries will be coming to Nigeria to buy our farm produce because of weaker currency?

I'm always against the removal of fuel subsidy by any government and Tinubu government won't be an exception even though I made a brutal mistake of voting for him and rigorously campaigned for his party despite not being a member of any political party.

I regret voting Tinubu!!!

Now our security agencies are really playing to the gallery.

The man in question is married to a Nigerian, and has also resided in the country for a long time.

I am reminded of the intolerance meted out to Patrick WIlmot, a Jamaican Lecturer who spent about 18 years working at Ahmadu Bello University, for little more than criticising the Babangida regime. angry

So what if he is an Obidient - which he is? It is not a crime to support an opposition candidate!

The next protest, national assembly and aso rock will be shut down.

Where are the Polish citizens they arrested? DSS and police are occupied by people with low IQ.

Tinubu deceived low IQ people to vote for him.

What is wrong in sponsoring a peaceful protest in the guise of getting good governance?
Those who brought hardship are saints while the people who are looking for a way to bring a positive change are to be arrested.
indeed there was a country

The fact that he's tryna constitute terror here in Nigeria as a non-Nigerian is a strong reason to prosecute him badly if proven guilty

Something like this happened under Roman Emperor Gaius and it wasnt funny for that Ethiopian guy
