Ode to an Avatar - Late Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah

First Posthumous Birthday Celebration Of The Celebrity Avatar, Senator Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Ubah, CON

Yes, you are an avatar, for your type comes once in a generation, like a flash, achieving huge accomplishments that defy gravity and soar like a colossus. Born to a poor teacher, you dropped out of school with the resolve to improve your family's fortunes and drag them out of poverty. You made good money at a young age through hard work and smart business, got married at 21 to your soulmate, Uche, and had five children.

You dedicated your life to showing the world the core essence of humanity, demonstrating uncommon love to people, most of whom were strangers. You loved unequivocally and gave without boundaries. You were passionate about economic empowerment and development, demonstrating this through your senate work, business ventures, and developmental projects in your constituency.

You would have been 53 years of age today, it is really remarkable to believe that this action-packed tons of achievements from you, all took place within this life span, yet many across the entire country started hearing the philanthropy associated with the name "Ifeanyi Ubah" over three decades ago.

Nigeria has lost an outstanding advocate for social justice and economic empowerment. Despite your wealth and political attainment, you remained accessible, calm, humble, and unassuming - rare qualities amongst our political elites today.

In the midst of all the outstanding achievements, you never stopped seeking knowledge and garnering degrees and certificates in Nigeria and abroad.

You consistently brought life, pomp and pageantry to every occasion that you attended and always moved to exchange pleasantries with everyone sitting including people you have political disagreements with.

But like an avatar, your time went up suddenly, and your Maker called you to rest when the ovation was highest, despite being poised to become the next Governor of Anambra State by popular demand.

Acting like one with pre-knowledge of being an avatar, you asked Ndi Anambra for four years with which to set a new template of development for the state but behold it was time up for you and time to take a well-deserved rest.

Your free spirit, accessibility, humility, and love for mankind will forever remain legacies that shall stand as reference points for generations to come.

Today was planned to be a day of multiple smiles, with gifts, including the Hilux you promised me and the Sienna vehicle for the media team. But who are we to question your Maker, who decided to call you home when the ovation was loudest?

Your deft touches as Senate Committee Chairman on petroleum downstream, Joint Committee Chairman on Turn Around Maintenance and Joint Committee Chairman on Oil Theft Investigation have triggered reforms and interventions that will help Nigeria achieve sufficiency in locally produced petroleum products.

Happy posthumous birthday, Ebubechukwu Uzo Nnewi.
Indeed, your legacy lives on.

One the betrayers of the South East region is gone..

Ifeanyi Ubah, Hope Uzodinma, Uji Kalu, Ben Kalu, Dave Umehi, Rochas and others have continued to frustrate the release of Nnemdi Kanu here by frustrating the solution to lasting peace in the South East region...

They claim to be stakeholders in APC yet they can't convince the president to release NK just for their selfish interest.
