THIS DANGOTE REFINERY OFFICIALLY MAKES NIGERIAN AN INDUSTRIALISED COUNTRY.

Nigeria is now self-sufficient in, and is the largest manufacturer and exporter of refined petroleum products and petrochemicals in the African continent of 1.4 billion people.

All fuels needed by African countries at a cheaper price, from diesel to aviation fuel, is available and deliverable from the Dangote Refinery, Lagos.

This is HUGE.

Every single one of the 54 African countries would LOVE to be in this position we are in.

According to Wiki,

''The Dangote refinery is the seventh-largest oil refinery in the world. In 2019, the world's largest crude distillation column, weighing 2,350 tonnes, was installed in place at the Dangote refinery by a specialist Dutch company. With a height of 112 metres it is slightly taller than the Saturn V rocket which brought the first man to the moon (110.6m) and 16 metres taller than Big Ben.

In the same year, three more records were set when the world's heaviest refinery regenerator was installed - having already been the "heaviest item ever to be transported over a public road in Africa" at a stately 3,000 tonnes and also being "the heaviest single piece of steel structure" in the world.

wink cool

We are indeed the Giant of Africa, and will lead Africa to brighter days.

PMS is now #1,300 per liter, but someone is here comparing a refinery to satellites and rockets.

Which one is satellites and rockets?

Industrialisation is not about building ''satellites and rockets''.

It's about manufacturing and processing raw materials into valuable finished goods.

And just to mention, Nigerian scientists HAVE built satellites some of which are hovering in outer space as we speak, so you need to update yourself.

It's about SCALE and SCOPE, not just ownership of refinery.

Anybody can build a bungalow and call it refinery.

Can any refinery in Algeria or South Africa or Egypt refine 650,000 barrels a day?

For where?

The 25 billion dollar Dangote refinery and its scale & scope of operation is by far the biggest in Africa.

It's a game changer.

What a stupid thing to say to justify your disgusting racial complex.

This is about the importance of the Dangote refinery.

We are clearly not celebrating the mere fact that it's a refinery, since Nigeria has had refineries since before you were born.

We are acknowledging the SCALE of the facility, and the capacity for it to lead to further industrialisation.

For instance, our self-sufficiency in petrochemicals opens up opportunities for local entrepreneurs and manufacturers to establish businesses in that sector, and buy their raw materials cheap in naira instead of dollars, leading to a stronger naira, more employment opportunities etc etc.

Dangote Refinery can meet 100% of the Nigerian demand for all liquid products (Gasoline, Diesel, Kerosene & Aviation fuel) and have surplus of each of these refined products for export.

THAT IS HUGE.

Just from the business angle alone, and how it opens up multiple opportunities for local businesses, it's amazing.

The mediocrity of the mind of those who could not applaud this great feat but focus on inanity and their complaints is far worse than APC

Lol...there is no point debating with any cranium where this level of stupidity came from.....

If APC wanted to get online warriors for its propaganda efforts, it should at least do well to get the smart ones among the dim wits.....not picking the lowest rung of the morons to do its dirty job whike wasting public funds on them

This girl finished from a quranic school
