I feel bad for them somehow even though money may not be their interest. They've watched Nigeria change from good to bad, I felt her regret at what seem to be a wasted effort.

yup you are on the money, she has regrets because the degeneracy in the nation is at an all time high. Even the devil is scared to enter naija. Democracy has been a scam. Democracy has led to degeneracy. We need accountable powerful institutions like the military to take control again. They have a somewhat strong institution were they are accountable to the senior ranks. As for this white couple ? Paradise is lost forever. Cut your cost and return home. At the age they are they don't want to fall sick in this jungle.

Actually Nigeria was doing very well before independence and some few years after independence. Most items and household stuffs were subsidize then. And there was almost opportunities in all sectors.

Honestly, i wish i was born then.

36years ago Nigeria was doing relatively well and our naira wasn't performing badly to dollar...so we had many international people coming in here to reside ...I remember going up in my area we had Ghanaians and Cameroonians and they see us as lucky citizens of Nigeria but now the reverse is the case ..no thanks to maladministration of babagiida ,Abacha , PDP and APC till date

They bought diesel for 35 kobo a liter...wow..They should write a book.

By the way, they are NOT stuck. They chose to stay for the love of Cross River state and the country.

On the other hand, many Nigerians are really stuck in USA, UK, Europe, Australia etc. These Nigerians want to return to the country, but cannot.

Some Nigerians can't even afford the Air ticket to go home.

Its good to know that foreigners like it here. Life isnt always about flashy things. Read about Simona Kossack an ecologist with a Phd in forestry who decided to spend her life in the Baloweiza forest in a hut with no running water or electricity because of her passion for nature.

I watched the entire clip and I am happy I did. This has emboldened my patriotism to continue in my restoration of the swamps and construction of my local communities and raising the animals with love and pride.

I don't think they are husband and wife. They don't have same surname. You would also notice she was stressing the fact that Nigerians put too much value on marriage and having kids...it clears she doesn't really care about marriage or kids.
