Lagos, yet another Metro line? Absolutely! The Green Line Metro is here.

Today, we signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) and China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) to bring this ambitious project to life.

The Green Line is a 68km rail line designed to run from the Lekki Free Zone to Marina, connecting with the Blue Line at Marina. This new line will transform our transport landscape, linking key areas like Victoria Island, Lekki, Ajah, and more.

This rail line is projected to carry over 500,000 passengers daily at launch, rising to over a million as demand grows. With the Ministry of Finance Incorporated and CHEC leading the design, financing, and operation, the Green Line will redefine public transport in Lagos.

The Green Line complements our existing rail lines, including the Red Line, which has already begun partial operations. Together, these lines form the backbone of our Strategic Transport Masterplan, designed to create a fast, efficient, and connected Lagos.

Just yesterday, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line, which has served an impressive 2 million passengers without significant disruptions. This success shows that Lagos is ready for more - we are ready for the future. In August 2024, the Blue Line increased daily trips from 54 to 72, reducing travel time between Marina and Mile 2 from 30 to 18 minutes.

The impact of these rail lines goes beyond transportation - they are catalysts for economic growth, connecting communities, reducing travel times, and enhancing the quality of life for millions. We are building a city that works.

This is Lagos, and we will continue to lead.

It's official. Eti-Osa and Ibeju-lekki is the New epicenter of Development in Lagos.
The Dangote Refinery, the Lagos-calabar Coastal highway, the Lekki Sea Port,Lekki Free Trade Zone and now the New Green Line.
If there's something I'm very sure of,the announcement of the sales of Petrol has totally changed the developmental pattern of life in Ibeju-lekki.
25 million liters equals roughly 8000 tankers everyday loading at the Refinery,if you add the Diesel and Aviation fuel,we are looking in the region of an extra 2000 tankers.
Even if 12 million liters are shipped to other locations,at least 5000 tankers will descend on the Refinery daily to load refined products.
That's why I praise the The Governor of Lagos for being futuristic and planning for what will happen in the New Lagos.
Seriously the figures above should excite any discerning Investors, that's why I have decided to share my investment opportunities in real estate.
The people will need low income houses, need schools for their children, need hospital and so much development to cater for their needs.
With as little as 2 million naira, you can secure a plot of land in an area that's 45 minutes drive to the Refinery, with the Train that will be available in the future, this is the best time to invest small and reap big.
Check my signature for more details.
God bless Lagos state
God bless Gov Sanwo olu
God bless Nigeria.

Anambra state doesn't even have a rail from Nnewi to Onitsha to Awka.

Enugu doesn't have railway from Nsukka to Enugu capital.

Ebonyi have started building intra-state rail.

The SE minus Ebonyi is retrogressing.

Congratulations.

Our past and current leaders really failed this country. Imagine what Lagos State is celebrating in 2024.

We are still traveling to far away China to look for their engineers to build us infrastructure like train. What is happening to us as a country. When are we going to be able to do anything for ourselves that other Africa countries will be hiring us for projects like this.

I still give kudos but seriously not impressed.

When two stupid tribes waste their time fighting each other online why will one region move forward?

My governor H.E Obaseki is about to start intra city rail system in my darling Edo state.

See let me tell you, instead of you guys to focus on building your region instead you went all the way to Southwest to build and develop 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You see my people, you can't find any single one of us no matter how successful that doesn't have something established home in Edo state. .

99% of you business men established in Southwest neglecting your home.
You all always have an excuse, now it is insecurity. Is your region more insecure than the North ? Yet all Northern businesses remain in the North . Even dangote s major business remains in the North.

You ibos are the author of your own undoing. See chief priest unrooted hos business and took it to Lagos and is disturbing us on Instagram to patronize it. 🤣🤣🤣

You guys will never learn . This is why the Yorubas can threaten you and attack you during elections.

They can't try it with us.

Probably not a smart idea to do rail in some areas...you will be spending money to replace stolen rail parts over and over again

When we can build heavy machinery needed in making other machineries then we are ready to build trains. We are nowhere near that and the failure of Ajaokuta is a huge part of it.

And some people still want us to keep depending on okada and keke in a mega city like Lagos......this is what govs should be doing not just sitting their arses down and waiting for allocation from Abuja.....if we had five govs with tlsame energy as these Lagos guys Nigerian in 5 yes would be Eldorado.

That one in rivers, instead of developmental projects like this is busy doing nah we dey dia!! What is delta doing, kaduna,Kano, ondo, ogun what are they all doing.....but they are always quick to blame tinubu for Nigeria's woes and some people blinded by hate will keep urging them on to their own detriment!!
